Hey man, healer main, glad you made this video as I did my own kind of testing and had similar results. Id like to say great quality descriptions and good showcasing thank you for showing it in content. 1. This is great for most 4 man's and especially when you have all melee groups. 2. Would kind of depend on group comp if someone else is running weaken as well. I find supporting sets/skills help like Regen stamina or an active visual helps other players get buffs/heals rather than passively. 3. I feel void gauntlet is better DPS while solo with only 100 intellect hitting roughly 1800white 2800crits. 4. The self heal is passive from flail but not quite as bursty. Flail has long CD's even with LA cd reduction. 5. As a mainspec healer we all default to life staff for "oh shit" moments 😂 even saw that in the mutated dungeon clip, being at ranged may be necessary for the majority of content being in a light setup. This would mean flail is a wasted skillbar when you could be shooting/debuffing from range with Void. And to be fair you can't pick and choose who you play with all the time cause that's unrealistic. Overall man this is an option to the meta and could be useful in Hive also. Most Healer's are ranged and this is a very viable option.🎉

I do think lifetaker is the best offhand for a healer so you can still stack rends and play at a distance while keeping life staff cooldowns moving. If we aren’t min maxing heals and looking for a different play style for lower tier content; I think this build fits that as I think it requires a little less attention and keeps you up in the clump rather than at range all the time

I’ve been running some mutated with this build and I’ve stood out and healed a couple times and then jumped into combat with the flail. I’ve noticed mobs melt very quickly when I jump into the combat with flail. It truly is an amazing difference.

Great video and build concept! I always appreciate your clear and easy-to-follow presentation style 🙂 In my opinion, the only time you'd really want to run Flail over VG is if there's already a dedicated VG player in the comp. For high-end content VG is pretty much mandatory for reaching empower and rend caps. I still need to test it myself, but you’d likely get more DPS with a VG too-and you still benefit from the same Flail utilities like weaken, root, and disease. Also: 6:41 Typically Enchanted Ward should be prioritized over Health for PvE (EW > Ref. > Weapon Perks > Health). 9:20 You do NOT want Regenerating as a healer since it increases and potentially prolongs your aggro!

Build looks fun to play. Void gauntlet has 20% weaken with tether and 15% weaken with oblivion passive, so its got some weaken. Voracious blade goes crazy too. Subbed.

Flail main on tank here, tanked Gorgon etc, even though vortex is fun you actually get more out of warding bludgeon. Not only is it a taunt but gives all nearby allies 50% fortify which is MASSIVE in preventing them from getting downed. Optimal abilities are smite-eruption-bludgeon

Flail is a good noob protection but the problem on tanks is u dont want to swap away from ur sword for a long time cause of the leadership buff so most user play GS to use their Safing abilities and Op agro abilities for backup and instantly swap back to sword. Thats especially important on typheus because u mostly lose because of dps

I’ve been running basically this same build in 3v3s minus a few differences in the talent tree for flail, and it’s been an absolute stomper. 20 wins 3 losses just today. Being able to tumble around and still tank like your in heavy gear is amazing

Yeah I switched it up from ls/VG to ls/flail today and got my power stone all upgraded and I’m never looking back. It’s soooooooo nice. I feel like I can just fix and slip up my party has and I feel super tanky now

Love it, I changed from VG to flail and shield some days ago and my healer feels like a brand new character, so much more fun and I really think it’s viable. I’m using g bludgeon instead of arcane eruption. I also used the 4th weapon perk to lower the cooldown on bludgeon. The defensive and survivability it gives is insane. It’s almost spammable. Thanks for your guide! How is yo ur healing settings with target lock etc?

Just wanted to let you know I tested this against my buddy in a duel. I can take him every time between gritting through his stuns and healing past everything else. He is a hammer/spear build and his stuns are annoying, lol.

So u explained the build Very good and ur gameplay show was decent till the bosses because u meant to stick at ur DD all the time with flail ur flail tree is pretty good but i have 2 things to mention First Flail build is only good if u stick at ur dd all the time for the boost Second if u r BIS healer u use Orb Sacred Beacon so the goal is the throw all healing abilities and swap to flail to maintain weakness on the boss and keep ur empower up to ur mate and its debaltable to skill weakening on getting hit instead of weakening on heavy attacks in flail tree

Love the tips! I’m not sure I agree that BIS is orb. I’ve ran so many expeditions and have tried everything healing build and not having a big heal like splash, LE, or DE is difficult as these dps keep running around with 5 con and running out of heals. BIS healer is the one that keeps the team alive!

If you are good enough you are basically an off healer/dps, im alot more confident face tanking and getting hit in m2s and hive with flail/LS over void, also flail can single handedly reach weaken cap

Void gauntlet will heal you probably more and do more dps when solo I run void gauntlet for pve and pvp most broke weapon in the game I don't even need to use the lafestaff the healing on VG when setup correctly OP

The bad think about Power Stone to me : Carnelian gem dont work when its in the power stone. No agro from "agro skills" no agro from "heavy attack". Im find 1 post in NW Aeternum official discord abot this. And dunno when AGS fix this. For me as a tank its so disappointing

What is the best pvp Leveling Build for a Ps5 user?

Not sure platform really matters, but get to 65 and focus on getting gear from the gold cursed well as the pvp perks you can get from there are very helpful! Best thing to start with is finding a build you like and STICK with it! Changing builds doesn't let you build up armor that works for that build, and recognizing that skill gap is a real thing and a poorly kitted pro pvp player can stomp a BIS armor low skill pvp player any day.

@ it’s just that you can literally stop your team from getting one shot with something like crowded budge on . And arcane explosion doesn’t have grit so hitting the second shot for a heal isn’t reliable. Also arcane smite kite shield staggers targets. Probably not most useful in pve but can definitely prevent damage. What do you think about this ?
