devs like tony are the reason i have any hope for this game to be okay in the future. This man keeps it real. Unlike the other crap we see in dev updates. On top of all this, you can tell tony ACTUALLY PLAYS THE GAME as much as other players.

I would love to see fishing become more social, At the moment fishing is very anti social because if another player joins a hotspot you are now competing for the same resource which means you either need to stress about catching fish as fast as possible before the hotspot is depleted or you go find another spot. If there was a way that Decreased Fishing respawn rate when more players are in the area or a increase to the time of a hotspot with multiple players to encourage people to hang out and fish together. This is also why the summer medley fishing event felt not fun to go fishing, With so many players out trying to fish it felt competitive and felt like you had to constantly teleport or run to a new spot, It would be way more fun if players came together to hang out and fish instead and the system rewards players for fishing together '

"Package of Specialized Fishing Materials" might not have the 700gs fishing patterns in them. Unless my luck is really bad, I'm at an embarrassing aptitude level for fishing and haven't gotten a pattern yet.

Is there a reason why luck for foods aren't just included into normal foods? Like adding it in as an extra perk based off the tier of food? That would help people build correctly, but still have luck for chests and drops.

Not a specific trade skill per se… Was wondering if there has been any thought on specializations in a trade skill, more specifically the crafting tier… currently the system incentivizes players to max out everything themselves. Moving forward I think a system where you can specialize in only one craft with several sub tiers in the craft would be cool as hell. It would also bring back the need for community to help each other. For example: weapon smiths can specialize in war hammer, great axe or great sword but only one. These specialized crafters can make a unique version of said item. Whether it be an extra socket or some special unique perk for example. Maybe a special coating on the blade for even more elemental damage even… just thinking out loud. Since you can only pick one specialized craft though this would make community more needed if the same player wanted to get bis armor pieces next for example and require other players to help attain that goal.

I think end game like wars in this MMO can be fixed by just taking out the company aspect of owning territory. It should be Faction driven not company driven. This way everyone can take part and feels part of the end game and not the 1% or 2% hardcore. This way Factions mean something and if your faction owns a territory, each member can get maybe 200 coin a day for each territory that faction owns. Players that would get into the wars would be open for anyone to sign up from that same faction and the players would be randomly picked from the war board list to fight in the war. The game should be fair for everyone to have a chance to play everything the game offers and this way I believe would make open world influence race even bigger too and everyone in the dog would fight for 200 coin per territory a day. ( Companies should still be in the game, but not run the game )

Coinciding with the Cooking changes, you made Fishing changes to make Legendaries much harder to catch. The fishing changes (more fish, same respawn time, need more luck, any legendary fish from ANY territory) coupled with the requirement for THREE of the fish ingredients has made this an absolute grind that, regardless of coin, is not worth the TIME sink you are forcing on players. Additionally, I should not be catching 50% Common Fish out of a two-star hotspot with full gear and trophies. Sorry, but the tables are way too broad and fishing trophy/gear as been devalued due to it's narrow window of providing a ROI. The Hotspots are NOT respawning faster, 3-star Hotspot was timed at 60-minutes. This is NOT an improvement. I for one do NOT welcome my new Fishbot Overlords. Fishing has been broken, and therefore Cooking is less valuable as something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay, and I don't know who would want to pay the prices currently being asked due to the new time sink. REVERT FISHING! Change cooking to a 1:1 special ingredient.

As an avid NW player/supporter, I gotta say, Please. No more videos, Q&A’s, Reworks, Events, Updates, etc. on cooking. It has been beaten into the ground and very few players actually care about it. I’d rather Scot Lane hop on screen and tell us stories about his childhood than hear another update on NW cooking. PS: The cooking portion at the end was pretty entertaining though 😊

I think the fishing change is good. Market just haven’t had time to adjust. Good change overall! For most things you can use the 44 stat food. For high end content or leaderboard content you can use the 48.

idk but I feel like the Dev's confuse simplification and consolidation as being one in the same thing, when their not. Simplification speaks more towards things like making the UI more readable, where as consolidation is essentially making the breadth of options shallower. For example, imagine a crafting discipline with only 12 recipes, it would feel like there's an utter lack of creativity and variety to justify having such a minuet selection behind it's own craft line. I am all for quality of life changes, but removing things instead of fixing the underlying issue is just Imo the lazy approach.

So when they rework these trade skills, how does that affect existing players that have already been through the leveling curve? Food items and recipes that have been eliminated? It seems to me that these only affect new players, which AGS doesn't seem to be putting in any effort to advertise or attract new players because the "market" for all of these new food items and recipes are really the existing players - specifically players at endgame content, and that means PvP. So it seems to me that this isn't really thought through in terms of stopping the bleeding of players through long-standing lack of endgame content loops. It seems to me that the slow death of New World will continue. And I truly love New World as a game with 1K+ hours and all of them PvE with near zero PvP hours. I just don't see anyone saying "Hey, let me try this New World game" and that is literally the only beneficiaries of this trade skills cooking rework. Where is the ROI on that work for AGS? I'm just not seeing it.

Why is playing as a healer so easy for the impact it has? A healer (not necessarily a skilled player, just an average one) can easily outlast 3 or more players. This is the only MMO where such a disparity in roles is observed. Playing without a healer is impossible; you can leave enemies at 1 HP multiple times, and the healer, with an extremely low cooldown, can fully restore the ally's health without neglecting self-healing. There should be some countermeasure; in other games, when a healer heals an ally, the cooldowns for themselves are not so short, leaving a window of vulnerability. I believe you've never played your game in all roles; that's why you don't realize the stupidity that the PvP imbalance represents in the game. If you want a truly competitive game, where the best are at the top, fix these issues. If you want to continue along your current path, well, I hope you don't shut down this year because the way things are going, you won't last much longer.

Thanks for reverting the cost of cooking materials decision. Making a decision that causes MORE grind is a bad decision, in my opinion. You should be eliminating the grind. Already too much of it. Grind is NOT compelling or immersive game play. At least to me. Hope this kind of decision is never made again.
