They need to stop with the fresh starts already... Brinstone, rise of the angry earth, console release and we are going on and doing a new one every season now?! Its breaking the community like it did before and like will do again... We invest time in a character and many players haven't completed a fully bis build and they are already trying to push players in a new character... And there is not much content for standard servers on season 7... They just need to focus on adding meaningful content on the end game

They are soing this because they're not capable to do new content. Just introducing fresh starts to repeatable content to keep players busy.

I just picked it up on PS5. Self admitted dad gamer. I'm having fun with what is there so far. Doing Rapier/Musket to get that pirate class fantasy after feeling let down by Skull and bones. Its got hooks in me so far. As a casual, its better than retail WoW and I'm not 20 anymore so the days of raiding in Burning Crusade are long gone.

I actually like where this is heading. It feels like the days when Dota emerged from Warcraft. I think theres a legitimate chance that they will hit a stellar game mode that is almost its own genre. I think this is the best use of the system thats been developed so far.

Game has zero hope with AGS at the helm wish i realized this sooner. all newworld has is combat and combat alone, after 5K hrs and being disapointed time after time by this dev team that has zero clue what they are doing, mfs need to wake tf up. i wanna love NW but they make it impossible to do so.

Game had so much potential but the devs from the start of the game releasing are clueless and thats saying it lightly. Add more war modes, more opr maps more incentives to what everyone at endgame logs in for. It doesnt take a genius to see that most players log in to play a war for 45 minutes then log back out. Game would of been thriving if they just listened to the players instead they let the game die and will carry on to let the game die out of stupidness.

I disagree. I think they've done a good job improving the game since release. Sure, it needs more content, but they've fixed all the issues I previous had with the game, like insane azoth costs to tele anywhere, super-expensive fees for everything (house upkeep, retrieving stuff from your spread-out storages, etc).

@@johnnymartinjohansen yeah i disagree i mean the game is in a much better state bug wise than it use to be. But the endless grind for absalutely nothing and nothing to consistently play for in endgame is why most are quitting. Game went from hundreds of thousands of daily players down to 3 thousand worldwide daily and now at around 17k, that says alot.

Im not in end game yet, so im still having a blast. I do plan on checking out the season servers tho as that does intrigue me. I do like the idea of pvp all the time, tho that might change once i get blasted on 😅 but it sounds fun

I agree 100%. I have played since the beta launched on PC. So I have also seen the many ups and downs with Amazon games. lol. And they’re working on the other MMO as well. There was a game called paragon that did something similar to this before the game died and servers were shut. You make a season every quarter of the year and just have quarterly rotations on them with the same recycled content and the game running in maintenance mode until it dies. I hope this don’t happen to new world. Love your videos man. You’ve helped me tremendously !!

My concern is that player base will split between legacy servers, fresh start servers (which are not so fresh right now) and the new season servers. The honeymoon is already gone and the numbers show big decrease in player base.

Every game is doing seasons and its workikh extremly well ... poe, wow (fresh start worlds, new exp.), d4, etc. I personally think leveling is insanly fun and engaging. Even if it only holds me in for 2-3 weeks thats totaly enough for me

I think they're going to use seasonal worlds as a test bed for a lot of content, so while it splits the development in the short term, a lot of the work will end up in standard worlds in some form eventually.

@@hardstyledisco meanwhile they drive PvE players away (since almost no content is added to normal servers) due to players not having much to do and other moving the pvp season server they will lose more players so this is a risky move in the long run

The seasonal server is the only reason why I never tried Once Human. I don't want to keep redoing my character. Also not true about console not wanting traditional MMOs. We just don't really have many to choose from. I am mainly on PS5 and I love MMOs. I hate seasonal restarts.

I'm concerned about the population in our region splitting even more and was just thinking about Once Human's scenarios. Not everyone will want to keep starting over again even if seasonal will have a trimmed down levelling experience but I can see the hardcore perma-flagged PvP players going to this. PS: I would also like to say that at 5:12 you must excuse Decim's advertisements for invasion that night... Just the usual banter we have at Invasions R Us! xD

Ye very true, PvP players tend to be the ones to buy gear/consumables rather than craft, whereas pve are usually the ones selling and crafting the stuff. It will just be awkward having buyers on one server with sellers on another
