New World PvP Build - Blunderbuss/Greatsword - High Burst Assassin

I have been running this a lot post-Brimstone. After the IG nerf, I find Greatsword to synergize much better with Blunderbuss for DPS. This build is capable of standing up to pretty much anything, but requires extremely precise play or you will get blown up very quickly.
By swapping perks and gear, you can easily swap to BB/spear or BB/GS (tren. rend & plague) to deal with healers in arena, or cover BB/IG and BB/VG in war as well.

Ive been doing GS/BB on my new character, and it is so much fun. I don't know why, but it has Van Helsing vibe to me, and it has brought me back to the game. With the spring event, i might actually get some good gear, lol.

Any idea if steadfast strike would stagger them long enough to switch to bb and shrapnel? Could be nasty

Sadly no, if you use SS and swap, they begin the i-frame of the dodge right as shrapnel blast shoots.

Strong video, one question is whether it's strength to skill at the beginning or int? Level 40

At that level it doesn’t matter too much, STR would probably be better since you’ll be doing a lot of PvE.

what runeglass gems are you running in armor???? 2% fire dmg or 1% phy?

2% fire, best for DPS epecially with a 40% runeglass ruby in the GS.

Do you always zoom in with BB? it looks like only sometimes? with close distance it's no need I guess?

Personally I rarely aim with it since ADS slows you down and reduces your vision. Usually I only aim when dueling a single person who's running or staying away. But there is some benefit to doing it, namely it makes your net shot & shrapnel blast less likely to glitch out and go into the ground. So it's just your personal preference.

Ignited opal for BB, relentless freedom & exhausting net shot on armor.

SF = Shirking Fort, EA = Elemental Aversion, Ref = Refreshing, ENS = Exhaustive Net Shot. I'm using ignited runeglass

Ignited opal. Elemental gem isn't good because ammo bonus doesn't apply to it & ags still hasn't fixed it :l

Sometimes, this build can work very well either with claw or swapping to splitters for disease & burst dmg. However, like most light assassin builds it has a lot of issues with the current state of bow & musket in wars. So it works better on defense than attack, and BB/IG or medium GS/hatchet are safer picks. But if the enemy dex isn't focusing you, it will put a ton of pressure on their backline.

Depends on what you’re using it for. You’re basically giving up the survivability and disease of hatchet for the BB burst damage. And using GS as utility instead of your main primary.

If they hit the cc combo, yes. If you block or dodge their bash you're usually fine since light sns can be killed fast and heavy can't keep up. Kind of cheesy in duels but not an issue in anything else.
