Note on armor, if you are going "light" armor, do all light but medium in the chest. Maximizes fashion and protection and still gives you the light armor weight so you can get the sweet +20% damage boost!

@@GrimAbstract no matter what there seems to be a counter to every build. You won’t be able to win every fight so you just got to focus on what you’re good with. Find a meta build for heavy if you’re having trouble deciding.

Important note about food: that initial regen you get from eating ends early if you take damage.

I turned on and Flagged PVP as SOON as I got my faction and never looked back. I have become a better played through all the hardships, which really havent been that bad. Most higher level players left me alone, while those closer in level engaged. Now, Id say probably win 80% of my engagements. Unless its like 3 on1, then im fucked. Great Video as usual!

Heavy armor is fantastic in this game. For once wearing heavy armor actually feels like significant protection over medium or light, unlike most games.

So far PvP has been pretty fun and most players aren't ganking. On day 1 there were a few grief squads rolling around the starting area and last night there was one hanging around the fishing area on the main quest line. As long as you are doing what you are supposed to do dying isn't overly punishing and the PvP combat is engaging. The game is better with it and I know I am becoming a better player for it.

This is my first actual MMO that I've bought and I gotta say, I've been killed by lag a lot, I wouldn't even bother with PVP for now, also, the fights still feel super clunky , the weapon change is not smooth. It would have been nice to be somehow compensated when killed by lag and some low level wolves. Also people tend to exploit that game a lot in PVE, so I can't imagine what the PVP would be like.

If you need more mobility than you have in heavy, but die too easily in light. It's very much a compromise.

I don’t understand how people do so much damage yet I can’t do anything to them. I literally got hit 3 times by a dude with a great axe and got wiped. Meanwhile I hit him with 3 abilities and only got a quarter through his health.

Worth noting that faction gear seems stat locked, so if you're STR based that's heavy, DEX is medium, and INT/FOC is light. So, for example, if you're a magic user and want to go heavy the only option is the Trading Post if you want to take advantage of heavy gear with INT or FOC.

hands down best build is Hammer with jugg path and stun form right path. Ive never lost a single 1v1 yet and i fought ppl wayyyyy higher lvl than me. As soon as this build blows up its gonna get nerfed.

@@theXops9 Sorry homie, but you only get 1 stun on a much longer CD than riposte. Hammer will lose 100% of the time to even a decent rapier player. If that person is also using Ice Gauntlet you might as well run. I use IG/Rapier and I quite literally have dumpstered groups in a 1v4. The damage of the IG in combination with damage and mobility and damage mitigation of the rapier is actually broken. I main that combo and I think it needs a nerf. EDIT: Oh, and on that first note, if it hasn't happened to you yet it will eventually. Riposte counters the stun and stops it from doing damage or stunning and if you are close enough and don't dodge the counter attack you will be stunned. Quick swap to IG drop showers on you, then storm, and you will die in 2-4 IG heavies. If that player wants to they can blow their entomb on you as well which will hit for an absurd amount of damage.
