New World's June Announcement!

The New World June Announcement takes place at the Summer Game Fest on June 7. However, thanks to leaks, datamining and teasers from the devs, we already have tons of information about the potential content coming with the announcement, both in Season 6 and Season 7. One of those things is the console release along with a new UI. There will be a new Raid as well as a FFA PvP zone called "Condemned Shallows". Swimming will be added to the game, as well as likely a barbershop.

Seems like Shattered Mountain or Great Cleave would be another great zone for a Vampire and Werewolf release area. I don't see Vampires or Werewolves in the tropics. Thanks for the vid Duke!

They have the tech with based on day/night time, mobs changes. Deadman cove, ghosts spawns only at night time, they could do this with werewolves and vampires. humans change to werewolves at night, and vampires only go outside at night.

@@VeNoMz_ Deadmans Cove is straight up pirate theme. If vampires and werewolves were to ever come the most relevant place to have them is Brightwood. The abandoned churches, cemeteries, foggy and creepy vibes there is perfect. If something like this is placed elsewhere it would make zero sense

God, I hope the Fridays announcement is goods. Although this is not my main MMO, Ive still played it since launch and Im so hungry for some more engaging content. Also, it would be so boring if they just add werewolves and vampires as new enemy model, would be cooler if they could make them obtainable race-change instead. Kinda like ESO has it.

I used to love this game and supported it way longer than I should have. Somewhere deep down I hope they start knocking it out of the park and revive the game, but I have serious, serious doubts. It will be too little, too late. They will come with one big really decent update, finally a chance to build momentum, and then nothing for a year...

I feel like AGS waited too long and is too deep in the hole to climb out of at this point. Nothing they say at this point will bring this game back into a positive light. You might see a slight uptick in population whenever this new update drops but it’s going to severely hit rock bottom a month later.

im hesitant to try the latest patch after freezing in OPR mid air a million times and rage quitting a few weeks ago. i know people quit due to a lack of content but i have a feeling more people quit because of how buggy the game can be. ive been playing since release pretty much and ive had to quit several times due to game breaking (pvp breaking) bugs. i just want to pvp

Really glad this came up in my feed in spite of not really looking into NW much since I last stopped playing after Brimstone. I'm really glad they're still putting work into NW. It's sad it's become a bit of a joke in the MMO community....I don't really feel it's completely deserved at this point. I actually look forward to some of these potential updates and it might actually get me to hop back in, buy the expansion, etc. I do enjoy *playing* the game, I just left because of some of the systems and jank that bugged me (and my entire community leaving the game).

Doing a "re-release" of the game, like FF did, makes sense when imo. It feels like the game has been in early-access, and is just now doing a proper release. If it goes cross-platform and has a large influx of new console players, you would want a way to put new and existing players on a similar playing field. Including real changes to gameplay systems, in conjunction with fresh start servers, would give PC players a reason to start over and join the new servers with the console players. Personally, I'd love to wipe everything and start over with a fresh player base and the current systems in place.

Game would be popular again if it would be full loot zones like in Albion online. There are your high tier full loot zone where the best resources are but there are also lower tier zones where theres no pvp involved and people can still pve and chill

I hate that daggers ain't coming.. Kinda loosing hope. Big sad. It's one of those reasons why I am not actively playing New World. We've seen the daggers before release, they have some work done for them.. it's like waiting for my class and other weapons doesn't feel "mine". Hard to explain.

I really hope they will allow console players to join PC servers and PC players join console fresh servers. Otherwise there will be very very limited benefit on PC side. It also takes 2 months top to become BIS so i don't know what is the point of fresh servers anymore. They are for grind heavy games that NW isn't one of them at all at this point..

I think what we’ll be getting this Friday is an official Roadmap for the rest of the year. My prediction is that Console Release and Fresh Start servers will be the first thing on the radar. Then, they’ll release the new PvE and PvP content a month or two later. That would really help create some momentum for new players, which is exactly what the game has been missing in the past.

I've played since launch & have 3,500 hrs or so few breaks here and there (work full time) I dont feel ripped off for a $40 dollar game i've payed more for others that ive spent 10 hrs on & insta uninstalled. for those who have 8k hrs in this thats insane!!! This shit shouldn't be your life!!! I really do hope the news brings something of interest otherwise i cant be bothered playing it anymore either the end game loop is small & boring, timezones dont work for me where i stay. If you want an Asian server play on Delos there heaps of Indonesian & Filipino there

@@Rad_Kad and its AGS fault for people being toxic against them. They lied and underdelivered every time. They promised to improve their communication with the Community - but they just stopped communicating at all. They promised to fix their patching-system (you re-downloaded basically the whole game every time a "small patch" went live) but still to this day the patches have a size of 40GB+ and you still have to check file integrity every time a patch went through. They promised to improve their Combat System to make changes faster, yet we ran almost 2 months from 5.0.1 to 5.0.2 with NO bugfixes at all. There are an abundance of bugs and exploits still in the game since its release, never to be fixed. As of right now, after almost 2 months, we got a new patch which broke the following: Stamina gets double consumed if you dodge after blocking, aiming, weapon swapping and also certain skills with longer animations. Game is prone to crash to desktop at any time as soon as you join any instanced content (oh and you get deserter debuff). Daily login rewards, daily expedition rewards and Role rewards are broken, you just dont get them. Elite Chests randomly dont reset their daily timer. Teleporting into any instanced content has a big chance of you spawning into solid rock. Input delays for certain weapons are delayed extremely, feels like a 500ms+ Ping. Whats happening right now is the last straw that broke the camels back for everyone who still wanted the Game to succeed, but there isnt any hope of success with their Team. They failed to deliver for 3 years, they lied to their Community for 3 years and this is what they reap.

A new weapon every 3-6 months and new oprs is what it will take to thrive outside of bug fixes.
