Thanks! With the amulet + full thrust gems I would be 50.1 thrust resist, 0.1 over the cap, so I went onyx instead 😄 Most people play thrust weapons nowadays, so full thrust resist along with gemstone dust is pretty nice

Can't wait to see what the double swords or daggers might do all I know is there will be twin blades. I wish I could PvP but my right hand will cramp in PvP. PvE is not a prob I can back off from most NPC but another player would be aggressive, nice video.

Made me sad to hear you wanting to pvp but cannot because of cramps. Yes, to compete with average pvpers, you need to perform a lot of quick movements for extended periods of time. This is probably a dumb suggestion, but I really hope it might help. Have you tried playing with a high mouse sensitivity, to reduce the amount of movement your hand has to do? Even rebinding left click attacks to a left-hand keyboard key? Like rebinding attacks to space, and turning on the auto traverse option to vault obstacles without jump

If I was a returning player, I would personally wait until they finish remaking all of the old zones, just because you would literally be coming back to a "new world", and be overwhelmed by all of the new content and quality of life updates

Great video. Will definitely have to try it out. A lot of people say that 250 int actually does a lot of damage with the bleed build but I like having more dex. I currently have a rapier with rogue and the flourish perk but do you think that it is better to have the omnidirectional evade perk?

I did a lot of testing before I finalized this build. They are correct regarding higher bleed damage, but in many cases, things don't go according to plan. like good players using shirking dot cleanse, cleansing potions in war, purify amulet/earring etc, so you might not get all stacks. You might just be able to land one stack on them, and in those cases, you will do more damage with the higher dex build as your raw dps with both the rapier and s&s will be higher. You can see a clip of me finishing a healer alone with the basic attack into leap stagger basic attack combo at 2:00 , that healer was good at cleansing my dots, so I couldn't rely on bleeds. I wouldn't have that burst on a high int build. I have the flourish perk on my armor, because evade helps your raw dps more. Like spamming light attack and evade on a healer might actually be enough to overwhelm him. I also discovered that the flourish perk only buffs the damage of the skill itself, not the bleeds, so it doesn't add that much damage, but I would 100% want it on my armor tho

@@digytl I tested the build on the ptr, and the evade nerf is noticeable. Taking keen speed on one of the weapons might fix the mobility issue next patch. I will personally look for a rapier with keen speed, evade perk and if I can find, refreshing move. That way I can proc keen speed from a safe distance with tondo 🙂

@@mdn1263 Can't remember from the top of my head, but yes, I found the perk underwhelming. The weapon tooltip saying 39% or so sounds juicy, but if you go for flourish&finish when someone is below 50% health, they are dead anyway, without having the perk. I only have it on my armor because it helps slightly when I only use flourish&finish on low hp ranged players.

Of course, many people stack physical resistance as the majority of weapons deal physical damage. As shown towards the end, I personally run 50% thrust resistance on most of my pvp builds, so any thrust weapon will deal low damage to me, but if someone has an elemental gem slotted, he will deal way more damage as I have no elemental resist.

Doesn't work, due to lower damage, you will need more stacks of tondo to be able to kill them, and once you start stacking, they will back off, and you will not be able to chase them down to do flourish&finish

Swapping keen with keen speed on the rapier would fix the mobility issue from the evade nerf, as you can simply proc keen speed by using tondo from a safe distance. Evade is a key ability for this build to work, as it can cancel the tondo animation. Look at my ability bar at 1:07 I apply the last stack of tondo, then I cancel the animation with evade as soon as the damage registers, and I can go straight into flourish&finish

@@Notdeadyettt Haha, go practice the timings and combos on target dummies, there are so many cancels you can do. my favourite combo is tondo > evade towards enemy > light attack x2/3 >roll backwards >tondo > evade towards enemy > flourish&finish. It's a surprisingly fast combo, but it requires full refreshing along with refreshing move on the rapier. Another one I do a lot on rapier players with riposte is, land shield bash, roll behind, heavy attack, cancel with evade going backwards, then tondo. that way, if they spam riposte, you won't get stunned, and if they don't, they will get a free bleed stack on them

You mean the 20% haste on crit perk in the sword tree? This build is all about being fast, placing a stack of tondo, then repositioning, before applying one more, and then being mobile enough to quickly reach them to perform flourish & finish for the kill

@@mrquies3526 ahh yeah, I don't pick that as blocking with a light armor shield is usually not very effective, all it takes to break it is one heavy attack into an ability, so you essentially set yourself up to get stunned if you block rather than reposition. Avoiding damage is always better than trying to take it when playing light.

Im playing 50/300/50/100 rapier/spear assassin curerntly and it runs great. I am playin fleche/riposte/evade do but i wanna try Tondo, Finish,Evade. Do you think the build runs better with Spear or SnS at 100con as a secondary?

That rapier/spear build is really strong! I like SnS for this bleed build as people have a tendency to try to run away if they see 2x stacks on them, and leap is great for making sure they can't get anywhere. Shield bash is also awesome for setting up a one shot, by running behind them when they are stunned, and doing tondo > evade > finish into their back. But you can always test it, I like to tell myself that any weapon combo works in this game until it's tested and proven otherwise

@@AmbrielNW I tried it with Rapier Spear at 200con 300dex. The issue was that often finish just doesnt connect. Even if you stagger them with flourish there is a high chance that they will be able to desync glitch out in time and dodge the finish. Ill continue testing against my usual fleche, riposte build.

@@Iluin90 Try to do flourish when they have less than 40 stamina, so that if they dodge flourish, they will get exhausted, and will not be able to dodge finish. For me, lag only affects the combo like 10% of the time, and that is why I like s&s, because F&F seems more consistent when hitting a target that was stunned to begin with. Also, finish does not have to be done right after flourish, there is a little window you can wait before using it, so you can let someone dodge away and do finish towards the position they will end up after the roll animation

Yeah, a little. If you want that nasty damage, 150dex, 250int and 100con is the best, but this "dex version" sacrifices some damage for more attribute flexibility, such as going 150con which were pretty good during the musket era

I did test a couple of variations, but I played with 62str, 50int, 253dex and 150con for 90% of the rapier bleed clips. If I had proper gear attributes, it would be 50str, 50int, 265dex and 150con.

This build will get slightly nerfed when the next update hits. They removed the haste and stamina you get from evade, so mobility will be weaker, but I believe putting keen speed on one of the weapons will fix this issue. I think keen speed on rapier might be best, as it will allow you to proc it from a safe distance using tondo. I did not use keen speed in this video as it was overkill for the mobility when combined with the current evade perks. Thanks for watching!

Specifically the blood side due to the abilities getting their damage type changed to deal what it shows in other words slash. So people running full thrust won’t be able to compete when you’re changing up damage types consistently in your build. Idk not enough numbers done yet but seems like it to me

No rotation, only combos used to answer different situations. Tondo > anim cancel with evade backwards is my go-to stacking technique, Tondo > anim cancel evade forward > flourish&finish is the finisher combo, Tondo > evade forward > 3x light attack > roll backwards > tondo > evade > finish is another quick burst combo. For the SnS, always do 3x light attacks to keep up your haste and the slow debuff on enemies. Doing 3x light attacks into leap is a big burst, 3x attacks is what I always try to do between abilities, like leap > 3x LA > shield rush > shield bash > roll behind > tondo > evade forward > 3x LA > roll backward > tondo > evade forward > flourish&finish for the kill. If someone is chasing you, just turning around and applying tondo then evading away is perfect for setting up a big finish later, this works even when several people are chasing you, people tend to forget about debuffs when they outnumber someone

Yeah, they nerfed the stagger after you leap, so you will never connect a stun after leap. I usually leap and do a "basic attack combo" of 3 hits to land the slow debuff, and then I go for shield rush or shield bash

That right there is the difference between your average low threat blood rapier player and a freaking dangerous one 😂 Evade is what makes that combo possible. Evade is already a skill used to cancel the heavy attack animation into a quick light attack, and many rapier players do it all the time, but when you take that knowledge over to blood rapier, you can use evade to cancel the tondo animation, into a quick flourish&finish.

I don't really do pve stuff, so can't say for sure. But for the little pve I do, I always just bring my current pvp build. (Mostly killing ivan the inevitable for obsidian gypsum) This build can easily solo all the bosses in that area, that's all I know 😅

I have fought rapier many times, so I already knew how rapier players play. I just needed to get the combos down and apply them in real fights. Once I got comfortable with the rapier, I changed up the perks to better suit my natural playstyle, which is very aggressive, so the bleed tree was a perfect match 🙂

Not on DT unfortunately. I also don't really do many duels because I'm not that good at that style of fighting. It's weird but I'm better at 1vX, many of the players I defeat when I'm outnumbered would wreck me in 1v1 duels 😂 Like in 1vX I will be using the environment to recover, blocking los, splitting players up and playing on their confidence as they outnumber me. I can't do that in duels, that's an entirely different way of fighting, if you get what I mean 🙂

Yeah, that's the thing, it's an off-meta build, so people don't know how to fight it. Responding like that is a great way to grow as a pvper. I've had people politely ask me for advice, and I straight up tell them in detail how to counter my build. The toxic people will keep dying and keep being toxic. I get hateful dms often, and I've grown used to them by now, but I did quit for some weeks 3 times in the past when the hateful dms became too much.

@@AmbrielNW blood tree has been so underplayed for so long people don't realize its burst potential. I am often caught off guard by a bow or other person who uses blood rapier and its becoming more common so gotta adapt. Sns and rapier just seem to synergize really well together

@@taten-jinmu718 Yeah sns really helps blood rapier, both with mobility, and setting up big damage, like shield bash, roll behind and then flourish&finish into their back for crazy damage. Also, you can block tondo to not get the bleed on you, so it's actually pretty easy to counter. That's why sns is such a great off-wep as you can keep pressuring people to open up if they know how to counter blood rapier.

Yes. I absolutely agree that light armor is more effective than medium and heavy in small-scale situations. A medium or heavy will never catch this hit and run build. On my server I rarely find medium or heavy armor users alone, so most of my fights are vs light armor, and with the insane burst this build has, I one-shot many of them if they let me stack bleeds. This is probably why they get mad, because of the one-shots 😆
