Yeah that's the impression that this gives me too. Especially learning that the rock is carved out of the Aerie, it feels like this might end up being how we access the subworld in order to fight yharim

iirc boss rush is being moved to post-yharim. so probably we become worthy after fighting both noxus and xeroc.

@@speedymatt1236 This would surprise me, personally. I'm assuming that killing Noxus *is* the proposal Xeroc is talking about, since I can't really think of anything else that makes sense there. I think boss rush will be available pre yharim, as it is now, but that there will be new dialogue post yharim about us being worthy, and that it'll be balanced for post yharim, and thereby we'll unlock noxus as a superboss when finishing boss rush post yharim

Considering there's dialogue that tracks if you've killed bosses as far back as DoG, defeating yharim will definitely unlock another piece of the dialogue and his proposal

It may just be my writer brain making the correct assumtpion immediately but i feel like people aren't looking into this nearly as much as they should Y'all the "my old friend, the Phoenix" is supposed to be a reveal that Xeroc used to be friends with Yharon, not an extremely vague announcement that the boss rush is now suddenly done by Yharim, or that Xeroc is Yharim now.

it's nothing like that, it's probably just a callback to xeroc's past as a monk in service of the dragons. it's likely he knew yharon and was maybe even a little closer with yharon than other monks? yharon also seems to be an important dragon, and xeroc himself was important enough of a monk to be able to meet with zeratros one-on-one.

The lore doesn't change every update. Everything that is done to the Calamity lore, ever since February, is updating sources from the old lore to the new one, or just adding more to new lore. Basically, new lore won't be retconned ever.

For proof Xeroc is in control, the voice states that the bosses summoned are moulded by his 'Primordial Light'. This is a direct quote from Xeroc's backstory in the 'Requiem' lore item, where Xeroc is said to be 'wreathed in primordial light' during ascendance. I believe that, being the god of light, primordial light and Xeroc are intrinsically linked, and the voice calling the primordial light it's own proves that Xeroc is in control unless we get told that all gods are linked to primordial light, which we currently have no evidence for.

i noticed that xeroc boss fight combines jesus (christianity) and lord vishnu (hinduism) in the boss fight you can notice the hand color changing indicating that just suprised how well this is put together im a atheist but i was super out of my mind when i realised this

I don't believe so. The voice, at one point, mentioned that he was once mortal, implying that he is no longer mortal. We know that Yharim is a mortal being as, not only did Yharon's lore item show us that Yharim refused godhood, but Yharim fears he will not see Yharon again ('Yharon may return, but... he has bade me farewell' - Yharon's lore item), this seeming to prove his mortality. Or I'm looking too deep into this lol

Also, I don't think that the voice calling Yharon an 'old friend' proves that the voice is Yharim's. We know from the ~ML lore items that Xeroc was the first god, ascending soon after the Dragon ML war. Thus, it stands to reason that Xeroc was around during the age of dragons, and may well have made friends with some of the dragons. Maybe this is the reason Xeroc ascended in the first place, admiring the strength of the dragons and growing to envy it. God I could write an essay about this

The Rock tooltip still refers to Xeroc and the boss rush dialogue is still spoken by him so no.
