You are probably correct. Back in the late 60s my mother worked at an import processing warehouse. She said that all clothing companies would purchase from the same manufacturer and her job was to sew labels onto the clothing that went to specific stores. So for example, one store would purchase 2 boxes and get their label, another store would purchase 4 boxes and all those would get their brand label. I learned back then that one source comes to the USA and it is spread out with different names. Love your videos ❤️ Kitty isn't hiding just being stealth to be on camera.🥰😻

I am fairly new to your channel and just want to say how much I am enjoying it. I just recently started crocheting again and am blown away by all the beautiful choices we have now, especially internationally. I fell in love with the Ice yarns Picasso Rainbow in your videos and ordered some both from Etsy and Ice yarns thinking it would take much longer to get the international delivery than the US one. Boy was I wrong. Ice didn't even have any in stock when I made my Etsy order but shortly afterward it came back in stock. The Ice shipment came in 4 days ahead of the Etsy shipment. I bought both the light and dark Rainbow yarns and the pink and green combo and the blue, purple, and green combo. They are all gorgeous and so soft. I also purchased a number of other yarns my favorite being the Cakes Angora in shades of blue. It is 20% Angora, 20% wool and 60% acrylic. It is so gorgeous and so soft. It's a 2 weight but I think it will make the most beautiful shawls. Thank you for your great tutorials and your entertaining unboxing and shopping videos.

I bought a batch of different Picasso yarns from Ice recently. The shipping time was a little longer than a few days---it was close to Christmas. When I opened the box, one of the yarn packages was missing its plastic bag, and 3 of the skeins had what looked like cutting /melting (?) damage. I contacted the company via email, and they took care of the problem, immediately sending a new pack of eight yarns at no charge to me. Now THAT'S what I call customer service!

Hi Crystal 😊 I've been watching your channel off and on for years, but now I have subscribed and watch every show. I am making hats, warm hats, since we are on week three of snow days in Reno, NV, and I plan on maybe standing outside of Walmart and giving them away free. I just like to feel that I am helping in some way. My sister says I should take them to the craft fair and sell them but I will get more satisfaction out of giving them away than charging money for them. I have been crocheting for about 45 years. With watching your ICE Yarn unboxings, you breaking down the costs per ball, I actually purchased from them. I was blown away with my first order. I broke it down per ball and it came to $2.55 for each ball! Since I was so thrilled with the first order, when the Magic Light was on sale for $1.62 per ball, I placed my second order. This order came to $2.33 per ball! The colors were breathtakingly beautiful with the ombre effect. The colors are so bright! I could rave about ICE Yarn all day long but I'm sure you get the point. I've also compared the yarns on other sites and the cost and shipping is always so much higher. Like you, when I saw them for sale on Amazon, I broke the cost down and the sellers charge an outrageous price compared to buying it directly from the factory. I cannot thank you enough for having the unboxing of different yarns from different companies. The fun part of ordering from ICE is that my hubby picks out the colors I order also. He's partial to blues normally but I'm watching him pick a lot of other colors that I never thought he would like. So between the Hobby Lobby discontinued yarn sale in July and ICE, my world of yarn has expanded so far beyond regular Red Heart or Caron Simply Soft. I thank you for opening my eyes to both. Gorgeous yarn choices. You are not mistaken about them producing yarns under other labels. Same thing goes on for food products and health/beauty products. They will produce a certain number under each label. Just stopping to change the set up. Which is why a lot of times you’ll find a store generic that seems exactly the same as the higher priced brand name. It is. It’s much more economical for a company to pay to just brand their items than it is to start from scratch. The beanie turned out gorgeous! I love how that yarn worked up. Definitely not as busy as I had expected. Always love seeing your fur babies. Spotted Steve right away. He looks so much like my cat Oliver. Also loved seeing Doug pop in for a cameo! Nice yarn 🧶 and hat. You are probably right about all yarn comes from one distributor. My late mother worked for Hanes Hosiery. She was a folder. It would be the same hose, but depending on how the hose was folded, what name it was sold under. JC Penney or some other retailer.😊

I have so much yarn I need to use. So this last Christmas all 8 granddaughters got your fingerless gloves, all 5 grandsons got one of your stocking caps. Now working on making them all another blanket, they all got one several Christmases ago, that is using up my stash of blanket yarn. To use up my simply soft I'm making my first temperature blanket. But that purple and charcoal Ice yarn. Oh my.

Hi Crystal! Spending my Sunday binging your old videos. I def agree about how interchangeable certain brands can be and it works out for me as I find some of them as no-names on a value site I frequent. 😊 I’ve never ordered directly from ice yarns but you’re probably right about the warehouse. I worked in a warehouse that used gas forklifts and the smell just gets in everything. I’m not picky at all if the yarns good. 😊 K, hope you’re having a relaxing Sunday. As an Ice yarn shopping site owner i am glad you have concluded we have best pricing shipping for international yarn shoppers. Air fresh off the machine some. Bag number is a dye lot number. When ordering make a note to get all same dye lot # and ordering enough for specic projects.

About 4 or 5 years ago I placed 3 or 4 orders over about 6 months from ICE YARNS. Can't remember how I found out about them but I bought yarns I could never afford to have gotten otherwise, Thank goodness it arrived when my kids weren't visiting because I think they would have been really upset and the first thing they would have said was where was I going to. put it. Well you know what? I pulled a ball out of each package to enjoy and put the rest away were they wouldn't see it. One of these days maybe I'll place another order. It was so much fun and exciting plus I didn't have to drive an hour away in the traffic at the cost of gas these days and push the basket around the store in pain. Gotten older and my back doesn't like me shopping like much. lol I have one closet that I love to go into and just my yarn and then of course my quilting stash of fabrics and the 13 quilt tops that have to be put together and quilted. OH how I love fabric and yarn. Thank you for sharing your shopping trips, it is so much fun and it reminds me of when my kids were young and I would be trying to shop for yarn with them. Believe me you have been blessed to have Eric go with you. My kids dad would have split a gut if he had to go with me and keep the kids occupied Have a blessed weekend. FYI since then the kids have found all that yarn that hasn't been used yet and they have never said a thing about it. I worried what they would say for nothing. Think it's about time to order more but this time I want the beautiful cake yarns that I can use for shawls and beautiful delicate things since you have taught me how to do those fancy stitches and I'm not afraid to try. Thank you, I owe you so much, it has been so much fun to make and give those things to friends, family and little ones.

You are correct. Ice supplies a lot of companies. They make a massive bulk. Leftovers are relabeled and sold.

Ordered rainbow Picasso from ice yarns after seeing it on here loving it so far, couldn't believe how quick it came ordered on Wednesday lunchtime received it Thursday lunchtime 24 hours give or take a few minutes. Love watching your unboxing only trouble is want to buy a lot more afterwards, making your new kids on the block blanket with the yarn and it's working up lovely
