Had an ADC say the Support should start speed. While the ADC gets both xp and purple for himself, while he (Ishtar) somehow lost lane to a Cupid.

I find a lot of people going straight to mid for the first wave as a jungler, then swerving off to do chest camp with their mid laner. From there, the jungler can go to second speed camp or a harpy camp, as the harpy camp will be up shortly. I'm not sure which method is better yet, but it might just be up to preference.

I think both starts have merit for jg/mid. I can also see a third option where mid kinda just gets 1 or 2 melee creeps, and tosses an ability over the wall to split the XP camp with the jungler, and then finish clearing wave to hit lv3 from wave XP. The mid/jg start definitely seems to be the most flexible Oh! I forgot, there’s also one where mid also splits the back speed with the jungler, and basically they split every piece of farm together, and both hit lv3 after all 4 camps and the first mid wave are cleared.

There are too many mid/jg starts that can be viable. The one you mentioned, jg goes with mid to mid lane for the wave and then invades are possible at the back enemy XP camp. Mid can also split the other back speed with the jungler before waves meet in mid, then mid and JG split all 4 camps and the mid wave together to hit lv3. So many possible starts it’s kinda crazy.

Can you talk about how the new deathbringer made crit meta broken? All i see Crit adc with 4 to 6 crits doing massive damage without pen, ridiculus. Hi-rez once again made hunters OP and dosent matter if you buold 325 physical with spectral, you die in 4 autos.

THIS is why I only do joust. This is just so much to try and absorb for the first time. Though I do wish I knew the ins and outs of Conquest as it looks like chaotic fun, my brain just cannot handle all the intricacies all at once and I am afraid of learning while playing as I know I will hold my team back.

hey if you see this, just do unranked and tell your team you're new! there's also co-op, which is a great place to get some low-pressure exposure. watch someone else play a game on your role first and you might end up with a better idea of what to do than some unranked randoms, lol. i had a horrible beginning in conquest when i barely knew the game, my team started badmouthing me but when i said it was my first day playing they left me alone lol. i don't play it all the time, but it can be really fun.

Ya ranked is wild rn. People queuing not knowing builds and starts. AP supports, attack speed Da Ji, rage quitting. It’s rough Ngl (west coast servers). Not sure why people don’t just watch a video like yours or just practice in casuals. It’s frustrating to deal with. Hope you feel better!

Usually (9/10) I see Mid and Jungle doing the first wave then back camps then mid harpes with/after 2nd wave.

Why wouldn't jungle get 1 wave of clear mid, then go chest camp and 2nd speed? That makes them 3 before duo or mid, and a perfect spot to gank.

As a consistent high Diamond player I can’t wait for smite 2’s removal of starting at camps 😩 That mid/jungle start is convoluted for no reason and these starts are why it’s so hard for new players to get into conquest. They get flamed just a small hiccup before the actual laning even starts

Don't clear the second speed camp as the jungler because ideally you should save that speed camp for when you're about to run out of the original buff

yea.... this needs to change in smite 2. Never played much conq and generally didn't play smite in the last 2 years. When new people coming to the game, less could be more. Doing multiple camps at the same time just doesn't feel "intended" and is really unintuitive.

@@-Devalny-- The issue is for newer players like myself, I dont even want to risk doing Conquest as I dont know all the things my team will expect me to do (and I know they will let me know how displeased they are if I were to try).

@@PartStupid yeah I can guess the feeling! You can even say in lobby you are new, learning and enjoying the game. On theory they can't blame! 😅 I remember when I started in s3/4 was playing only with Sol don't knowing the teamfights mechanics but just destroying any tower/objective till the Titan! 😬 But I admit with complaints players learned so much! Like "errors make you better!" 😉

@@-Devalny- - That's fair. I just don't react well internally to the way they come after you. If they are helpful and nonjudgmental with the info it would not be an issue, and sometimes people are like that but I find more often its people who are nasty about it. I try to always be helpful in Joust when I can tell someone is new. I give advice but always say "no problem" so they don't feel too bad about it.
