Happy New Year to all of Japan. I sincerely hope the country gets off to a better start for next year than this one. But in all seriousness, I look forward to watching your channel for many years to come. In fact, I might be able to plan my trip to Nara next year.

The only times I have seen an ATM closed, is when its broken or out of cash. That is kind of the benefit. If they 'load it up' with cash for the weekend / holiday, the bank can leave it. Strange that exterior ATMs in Japan have hours.

Room temperature bento and osechi are common in Japan, but I have never eaten room temperature meal at home. I do so too to myself, to my family or to the guests. It's your family thing. What part of the food preparation do you contribute to? Happy New Year.
