Nice build.👌 Don't forget to beef up the subframe for your front gearbox mount. The subframe will crack otherwise. PS: 400HP is easy with a 3800 turbo. I keep mine at 400 and a little bit; more just spins the wheels unnecessarily😉

Yeah the plan is to reinforce the engine and front+rear transmission mount areas. I am gonna stack on an extra plate and weld them in. I am looking at options to reinforce the cradle to body mounts as well, I am thinking about tying them together by welding a bar between them.

Seems like it's never going to grab traction. HP doesn't mean a thing if your not moving. I'm keeping mine SC and working on an electric front motor setup to make it AWD for the drag strip to even out the load and get it up and going faster.

I had one just like that but black. I miss that car. Had to get rid of it because I needed a truck, back in the 90's. Had a friend with one that put a 350 in it. the dang door ajar light would come on under any power, the frame on those could not handle more than 400ish hp.

Very nice, on my 87 GT I am using Thelinsells F23 swap mounts and shift correction and clutch slave adaptor, interested to see who's and what you use and how they compare ;-)

I’m really surprised you are not keeping the 3800 supercharged. Those gen5 m90s can make over 400whp. And with as much time/$ as you are spending on this I would highly recommend getting an intake manifold from a natural aspirated 3800. Using the hollowed out blower case will loose a ton of torque as well as make the turbo take much longer to spool. Check out some of Richard holdners vids he has done extensive testing on this engine and you could get the perfect setup without any trial and error.

I’m looking to make more than 400whp so SC isn’t a good option. I don’t like the idea of a twin charge setup as it adds more complexity and introduces a lot more heat VS a single turbo. Richard holdener didn’t port the case like I did. The closest comparison was when he took the SC cover off and basically created a huge inlet, unrestricted. It produced the highest HP out of all the intakes but has less torque down low about 10-20tq less after 4000rpm.
