Hello Tim, I am from North Yorkshire in England. I usually say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, but it is acceptable to say Happy Christmas too. I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year and will continue to watch your videos. I have not had a horse for 40 years now but I think once you have owned a horse, you will always love them. X ❤

Same here, for Christmas alone I say Happy Christmas, but for both together I say Merry Christmas, and a Happy new year. It just sounds better than the other way around😊

I remember part of my lessons as a younger rider was learning to vault off to command at any point during the lesson. I think that lesson was very valuable

Merry, Happy Christmas. Grateful for your videos and the live Thursdays. (even if , like today, I have to join in after the program)

I am a little older.I am not rich financially. I am rich because I have traveled the world. Please make that a priority. Being exposed to different cultures has helped me understand how we are all in this together. Happy New Year to you and thank you for your wonderful ability to educate us about our horses!

I have 3 stallions. Two I raised and a 3 yr old I bought last summer. I have fed my horses treats but discipline goes with it. I do not tolerate biting or nipping and when they get pushy about treats I correct it immediately. They have to earn their treats. My 3 yr old is a bit demanding but he is learning not to demand a reward for doing nothing or nipping. Treats have to be used correctly and not to buy "friendship", so to speak. I've been training for 66 yrs. But I agree with you in principle. I believe treats should not be used if one does not know how and when to use them. Love your channel. One is never too old to learn more about horses.

Since my first horse I have always taught my horses to respect my space and that carries over to bringing their feed and backing up a step or 2 when I put it on the ground for them. They learn very quickly and soon know how to get their food by doing the right thing. I've always been fortunate enough to rent my own patch of land so don't depend on other people to look after my horses. I'm also particular about how I hang up my bridles and halters, and like you, I hate the 🥶

When we lived in UK we heard Happy Christmas more often than Merry Christmas

Frohe Weihnachten. But now I live in California. Still celebrating on December 24th. 🎄 My goal: to be able to trailer my young mustang to a trailhead and ride right away. Steps: Trailer - but end up at the barn - then ride. Trailer for to the next trailhead- it all looks the same. Trailer to a different location. Goal is just a short distance from home

My goal is to take my younger SSH/TWH on a 2-3hr trail ride solo, just me and him. I have done an 8-mile solo ride with my older walker and it really sealed our partnership. 😊 And you are correct, taking baby steps is key.
