Address by TU Berlin President Christian Thomsen for the 2022 Digital New Year's Reception
For the second year, TU Berlin is unable to welcome guests to the Atrium for its traditional New Year's Reception. The pandemic still prevents us from socializing in large numbers at the university. However, it is important to continue our tradition. We invite you to watch Professor Christian Thomsen's 2022 new year address as a video recording. After 8 years in office, this is his last address as president. "I have always enjoyed this reflection and I think it is important to take time to do so. I am proud of your many successes but also of that what we have shaped as Executive Board. Beginning 1 April, Geraldine Rauch will be steering our University as the newly elected president, introducing new issues, and I very much hope, continuing existing ones. I wish her and her team much success and all the best. I have always enjoyed my work at TU Berlin and with all of you and I fondly look back on this time," says Thomsen in his address. The address is accompanied by a prelude of striking sounds from the University. Dive into this multi-facetted aural experience of TU Berlin which includes a scanner, lecture hall noises, impressive test beds, a table tennis table, and more. So turn the volume up or put your headphones on!
