Melbourne city has been destroyed by greedy builders and the state governments. Most of the buildings that gave Melbourne it's charm have been demolished. Ugly high rise buildings have taken their place. There is constant construction going on and now the new underground rail line is being built with some streets closed. Cities in Europe would never allow such concentrated building in the middle of the city. Melbourne used to have a "Paris End" of Collins St, but no more as high rise building destroyed the area.
