Every 2 years or so I film with Super8mm or even 16mm. I truely love Kodachrome and the Technicolor (I.B.) although both are gone. At least we have the (new) Ektachrome back since 3 years... This film was/is made VERY well! Sharp focus, fine scenes. VERY esthetic! Also this film have run through good movie projectors with regulary cleaned film-paths! (= NO lines! ) Very few people know TODAY what skill it took/takes to really FILM. This digital stuff is far to easy! (less quality in terms of esthetics) High quality as I like it a lot! Thanks a lot for putting this here up! Kind and cordially regards! If only one of these beautiful creatures were preserved. Or better yet, if one was rebuilt today using modern technology

That’d be amazing

2 mohawks were preserved, tbh the only difference i see between a hudson and a mohawk is that they have different wheel arrangement

This kind of travel is a bygone era, I don't think this type of travel could be relived again.

@Joey Kominek Highways that our government built and subsidized with money that they got in part from taxing the h--- out of the railroads Same game they played with building and maintaining airports for the airlines.

Such beautiful machines! A true shame that neither the New York Central (or other roads that also had a few) saw fit to save even ONE Hudson, given that each one originally cost $250,000 - a rather handsome investment! Each and every one of the 275 Hudsons built were scrapped. They were built between 1927 and 1938; but were phased-out in the 1950s by diesel locos.

I thought there WERE some saved and on display in the US

All of NYC Hudsons were scrapped in 1959.

Jack Salvin a replica is being built however.

Too bad this country can't build a replica of 1959 and take us back there.
@danielgolus46004 жыл бұрын
I think all 275 Hudsons were scrapped BY 1959. They were retired between 1953 - 1956, then scrapped.

@ Sharpshooter 441342 how do you know that a replica is being built
@P0nyB3h0ldr3 жыл бұрын
@@Sharpshooter-dl9fc That’s completely untrue. The only trust I can recall forming was made up of a handful of early teens who didn’t realize they were in waaaaaaaaaay over their heads.

This was a silent film, I wanted it to have sound too.

Some kinda sound or narration would have made this infinitely more interesting.

I agree but this was a silent film

Added sounds are silly and ridiculous . Narration would be nice
