E2-E4 is an ambient proto Techno album that inspired many producers in Electronic music especially Techno. The repetition and patterns and sounds all became a palette for the future.

Hi TooManyRecords I'm from England and when you visited limited to one in this video at 8:42 8:44 there's an album on the bottom shelf on the wall and it's the third one along, and it is from a band called Shame and the album is songs of praise I highly recommend picking it up as it is one of the best English rock albums to be realised this year! Hope you will take a look as they are one of the best bands around now and have recently toured the US so would be good if you or anyone in the comments would give it a listen. Cheers.

Hey great video. You were in my old neighborhood in Williamsburg Brooklyn checking out human head records store. But there are other cool spots like rough trade also in Williamsburg Brooklyn. There’s another one called earwax on the same street of N. 9th St. in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Just some local record shops thought you should check out for your next video part two of New York record stores.

On my second viewing I caught Even Worse and Sheik Yerbuti in Record Grouch. Nice. Next time you're in Jersey you might want to go out of your way a bit and check out Spin Me Round Records in Phillipsburg Mall. The lady that runs the place really knows her stuff.

Hi, greetings from Argentina. I know this is a rather old video but I wanted to thank you for it (and for another one you´d made before highlighting somoe other record stores in NYC). I was lucky enough to visit New York in December 2019 and your insights were so, so important. Thanks to your advice I visited A1, Academy, The Turntable Lab and Limited to One (Kristian is such a nice guy, we are still in touch). So, after following your track and heading to Rough Trade (when it was still open in Brooklyn), Earwax Records (the owner was not very nice, but I got a few good things there), Blue Sun Records (another nice guy that helped me to get a few nice early Chigago House compilations) and Human Head. I can say it was because of you that I came back home with over 15 kilos of amazing records. It´s been a while, but I just wanted to thank you. Ps.: Excuse my poor English.

Sometimes I wonder if the folks at A1 just leave stuff in weird places to reward people willing to put in the work. Feel like I always get a steal there. Which is helpful, because I'm usually broke after visiting Limited to One.

I love that.

Nice looking grabs. I don't know any of these besides the rap ones but i'll check some of the interesting and old looking ones out. Maybe they have dope samples on them. You never know. I don't understand why a lot of record stores put price tags directly on the LP jacket though. As a collector, things like that trigger me so much.
@TooManyRecords6 жыл бұрын
If you can easily remove the sticker, it's fine. If not... >:(

@@TooManyRecords For sure. I had two instances where i ripped off a tiny part of the cover while attempting to remove the price stickers. It was infuriating.
