Lori, I couldn’t live a more different life than you - early 40s, corporate career, pretty sedentary lifestyle, (but was on a dance team almost 3 decades ago 😂), not vegan - but I LOVE watching your videos. Ballet fasinates me, and your voice and overall vibe are calming to me. Thanks for sharing some of your life with us.

I did not get to follow my dream. I live vicariously through your vlogs. Almost 40, corporate 9-5 job. Ballet was everything to me when I was a little girl. My parents could no longer financially afford this for me and I had to give it up… I try to go to the ballet once a year. That evening I go each year for the nutcracker, makes my heart light up. I can feel it pull from my chest, the music flows through me, and I sob after each performance. Thank you for sharing a window to what I think, could have been me in another universe. ❤

I am a 52 year old Paramedic in Michigan. When you live in an environment such as this you learn to layer, just like you know how to layer for class. I love to snowshoe and xcountry ski. Might sound boring but it's very relaxing and a great workout. You are one of the only influencers I can stamd to watch, because you are so real and don't seem to act fake. And I'm learning alot about ballet!!! Keep being yourself and have fun ❤

Love your vlogs Lori, they have become a little touchstone in my daily routine. I danced for many, many years, and even if I'm not dancing now, they bring a little moment of ballet to every day, which makes me very happy. Got to say, 9 degrees sounds pretty good right now, since it's -10 F where I am in Canada!

I want to give you props for your confidence. So many people will be uncomfortable if they didn't know anyone else at the studio but you just keep doing your thing and getting ready for class. Such a great lesson about discipline and confidence

I’m really interested in the whole “freelancing” concept. Does it get lonely (since you don’t have a dance company to be your steady companions)? Do you take ballet classes at the same place in San Diego every day?

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s vlog, thank you Lori! I’ve been inspired to start my day with oatmeal after watching you- there are so many delicious toppings to add & I’m delighted to see your use of raw sugar! Your travelling wardrobe is stunning- I’d love to know where you sourced much of it. ( eg the “Big Black Coat” your knitwear, oh everything lol. ) You must be a supreme packer tho to get everything in! Yet again the ballet content was inspirational and varied. Wonderful!

..another great vlog, Lori!🫶 So much here.! First - the pigtails( braids😊), plus the beanie and the black glasses, was just about one of my favorite looks Second- in your develope ala seconde, what are you thinking..? (shoulders down, pull up, open..? or are you just digging the moment?) Third- my first thought about the coffee shop+work, was, wow! that’s noisy..🤭👍 Fourth- watching the Gala performance would have been a “pinch me” moment.. you were so smart and so lucky to have seen that. What of the men’s performance did you love.?..❤

Hey Lori❤ I have been watching your journey for a while now and I am very curious to know, how you can afford such an expensive (in my opinion) lifestyle if you work in seasons. I'm just curious because wow, your life seems very luxurious!
@stephgreen307010 күн бұрын
I’m quite sure she is sponsored by Freed, which explains how she can afford all her point shoes and leotards etc. I assume they provide those for her. Just like how football and basketball players have sponsorship deals. When she’s traveling for work I’d bet the company she is freelancing for puts her up and maybe even gives her a per diem for food. It would be interesting to know for sure though. And it’s funny that you see a luxurious life. I see a very disciplined, austere one.
@raqueljezequel584210 күн бұрын
Hey, thanks for your response. Yeah, when I mean luxurious, I mean she is eating out all the time and staying at hotels, planes, Ubers, classes... To me, that is spending a lot of money. I am from Barcelona, Spain, and I think we are not used to eating out or ordering everyday, but I don't know if this is normal in America. @@stephgreen3070
@fuchsfarben10 күн бұрын
@@stephgreen3070You might've gotten something mixed up. There is no company she is freelancing for, otherwise she'd be signed under a company, which she is not. Freelance means you make your own schedule, budget your own costumes and travels and if you're a good dancer like Lori, can reach out to pointe shoe manufacturers to get a sponsorship. Lori does have an agent however, who deals with getting dance gigs and helps with scheduling.
@fuchsfarben10 күн бұрын
Keep in mind that this is Lori's vacation. This not her typical way of living. So yeah, she is going to splurge when she has the chance to be in New York, now that she has a bit of free time to travel :) For the rest of her vlogs I don't quite understand what about her life seems like an expensive lifestyle?
@judyisapunk792810 күн бұрын
I have noticed, that several people have asked Lori, specially Lori questions regarding her life but yet you keep replying in place of her? We aren’t asking you. We are asking her. If others wanted to hear you tell Lori’s story, I’m sure they’d ask you directly.
