Real reasons for optimism: - Defensive front is ELITE - Front 7 is one of the best in the NFL - Secondary is young and really athletic. - OL with the addition of Carmen Bricillo and the players they added should be at least an average unit - Brian Daboll is calling plays on Offense and will cater to Jones strengths - Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt and Darius Slayton are the best receiving corp Jones ever had also compliment each other really well. - running game can be effective having a change of pace 1/2 punch instead of saquon being a workhorse - expectations are low Can realistically see 9-8 or a 10-7 season

The thing is every offseason it feels like they're getting better and then everything that can go wrong does go wrong once the games matter. We were saying similar things about the Giants this time last year.

I disagree with Sam's point about adding more bodies to the OL. The chances that the current players on the OL are actually bad is low. It's MUCH LIKLIER that these players were poorly developed. The Giants fixed that by releasing Bobby Johnson and hiring Brusillo. Can't draft OL until Brusillo has proven he can develop our players first.

I don't care how good of a coach CB is. We have a talent problem. Passing up Beebe, and Haynes for yet another nickel corner was a mistake and it will hurt. Again. When this team learns 🤷‍♂

@@ajkareem5685 It's much more likely that Neal was improperly developed, than that he's a bad player. Is JMS a "bad" player too? He had a lackluster season. Andrew Thomas had to get coaching outside of the organization before he got better. Evan Neal was never the problem. The Giants, and their nepotism, really showed with how long Bobby Johnson was allowed to be employed by Big Blue.

Day 3 of OTA's, Eleumenor is playing LG and Runyon is playing RG, with Neal playing RT. This is a surprise and somewhat confusing. Granted, it's only one day of practice but, if they keep the line this way, with Andrew Thomas at LT and John Michael Schmitz playing Center, who will be their swing tackle?

Maybe cuz we know elu can play tackle, We still dont know if neal can. So we are testing him to see if he improved at all.

I was hoping the Giants would have Neal and Eleumenor compete for the starting job and award it to the player who performs the best - the other player would be the backup/swing tackle. The O-line is still a concern of mine because the performance of the entire offense hinges upon the performance of this unit. I guess I'll be anxious until I see it perform well in the regular season. We'll see how it goes - thanks.

The Giants may have gotten better at the supporting casts but Daniel Jones still is trash. And is guaranteed to get more touches than the other supporting casts. So are the Giants rebuilding or all in? Either way it's not the right way. It's obvious that Daniel Jones is gone after this year. Who are they getting to replace him? A free agent QB? Going to select the 5th best QB in next year draft?

There is no reason for optimism. 12 seasons have elapsed since the last Super Bowl win. The two playoff games in between, well a broken clock is right twice a day. The organization has been inept for more than a decade at this point and I see no signs that is changing or getting better. I have no reason to believe that any decision that they make is the right one.
