New York Giants vs Atlanta Falcons 10/25/81 2nd Half Week 8

The rain comes down even harder in the 4th Qtr, making it tougher to hang on to the football. A critical turnover might decide the outcome of this game. A key to the Falcons success in 1980, was their ability to come from behind late in the 4th Qtr. They may have to do it again in this game.

Everything I watch this game it brings me back to 1981 when my dad and grandpa were alive and we we're watching thos game. We were so into it...and the Gmen won! What a memory!!!

I remember seeing this game on TV. I was a kid back then!! I am still surprised that the Giants beat the Falcons in this game at that time (the '81 season)!! I remember the Falcons at the previous season ('80 season) of this game had a regular season record of 12 - 4. The Giants, on the other hand, of this same previous season were 4 - 12. I also remember the Giants were a better team the next season, than the previous season. (I remember the Giants were 9 -7 in this regular season, the same season as this game in this clip above, also a wildcard playoff team that won the wildcard playoff game then losing to the 1982 Super Bowl Champ, the SF 49ers, in the next round of the playoff game, 38 - 24). Still, I felt this game was a very big upset with the Giants winning this game!!

After many years of losing football Ray Perkins finally got them heading in the right direction. This was a big win for the Giants at this point in the 1981 season.

I remember this game and the Falcons gave this game away with all of the drop passes tip 🏈 by receivers for interceptions and fumbles. Steve Bartkowskl did his job

I only have Falcons at Packers 1981 week 2. Falcons games have been difficult to get from a private collector. As a passionate football fan, I will not give up.
