I'd also like to see Emma learn how to sound less like a frog, and for them to stop croaking through their verbal pauses. Well, at least you live in a state where you can vote for potentially great candidates, as opposed to Florida where democratic candidates are absolute garbage, which is why we’re practically a red state. I do feel your pain, though. It’s a little aggravating to see what’s going on politically in the state of New York, looking from the outside, because I had the impression that it was a more forward thinking state. It’s disappointing to see candidates from Santos to Adams, and Hochul winning elections, when there are infinitely better candidates to choose from. Hope you guys have better luck in upcoming elections.

Regarding congestion pricing: sorry, but no. As Ross pointed out, the MTA is notoriously poor at handling money - as in Infusions have a tendency to line executives' pockets, rather than improving the system. So why should the average commuter have to pay double the toll to supposedly help implement changes which have already been postponed for decades?

Gates for fare evasion are not a good idea. They are expensive to implement, they cause immense amounts of clog at the entrances to stations, and committed fare evaders will still find a way around them. The amount of money we waste trying to keep people from a system that really ought to be free...

The NYC subway sure seemed worse post-COVID lockdowns. On my morning commute I saw lots of turnstile jumping and other forms of fare evasion, men smoking on underground platforms, and subway cars reeking of cigarette smoke. This is minor stuff but not a great way to start the day. It affected my morale to the point where I work remotely 5 days a week now.
@SavorySmegmaАй бұрын
That's so sad, and not AT ALL tone deaf.. If only the people who have to waste gas making a 40 minute commute each way to jobs that pay $12 an hour and threaten to fire them if they're so much as five minutes late over childcare issues, and don't have the LUXURY of working remotely, could only know the PURE HELL you've endured, seeing people do things that affect you in no way at all and SOMETIMES passing areas and people that smell like cigarette smoke, I'm SURE they'd ALL want to check on you to make sure you're still OK and not suffering any longterm psychological damage, and would GLADLY throw the remaining $5 they EACH have into a GoFundMe so you could get some counseling or maybe just go out and have a spa day or something and REALLY relax..
