Met-Destroyer Randy Wolf. Its like everytime he started against the Mets with all the teams he pitched for in his career, he either pitched a gem, or he pitched ok to bad but his team still won. Randy Wolf pitched a gem in this game = Almost 8 innings, 2 runs. He was pitching a shut-out after 7 and two/thirds innings pitched, and looked like he was going to pitch a complete-game-shut-out. But things just melted after that second out in the 8th inning. Glavine pitched nicely for the Mets = 7 innings, 3 runs. Jimmy Rollins with a home run against the Mets; get used to that. And finally, no more baseball games at the Vet. But of course, this game on June 2 was truly a dejavu of June 1. On June 1, Mets-Phillies, Todd Zeile hit a game tying home run in the 8th inning, and then he hit the go-ahead-hit to give the Mets the lead in extra innings. Mets won And this game June 2, Todd Zeile with two home runs in this game, one game-tying home run in the 8th, and a go-ahead-home-run in extras. Mets won also. Mets also beat the Phillies on May 31 (Zeille had two hits and one RBI in this game). So the Mets swept the Phillies on the road on this 3-game-series.

Love watching old Mets games. Any chance we can get Mets/Phillies from 8/29/05? That's the Ramon Castro HR game. I can't find that game anywhere.
