Yebo, another South African here. When my inlaws first came to South Africa, from the UK, for my wedding in 1983, they continuously peppered me with questions about the word "robots". Same thing in Switzerland. I guess you can pick a map from Transparency International and it will give you the attitude of people toward traffic lights. The more corruption and lawlessness there is, the less people respect traffic lights. It's not coincidence that, in France, Marseille is the place where no one cares about traffic lights. Or speed limit, or one way street or whatever.
