Well.. The news reporters are clearly uneducated but we knew that before, the politicians don't really say anything, but that's normal. But anyone who understands economics at a fairly basic level understand: people have to stay in, so they can't buy as much stuff as they used to, demand for stuff goes down, so production has to slow down, workforce has to be reduced, some firms will go bankrupt, people lose their jobs, so they don't have any income, so they can buy even less stuff, and so on and so on. Therefore, stock prices go down, since the firms will make lower net income, shares are not worth as much, the logic for other financial instruments is essentially the same, so the prices of the instruments will move accordingly... When there is news that suggests people will be able to go back out and buy stuff, expected net-incomes go up and subsequently share prices, firms consider recruiting now to produce more in order to be able to satisfy the expected upcoming demand etc... When there's bad news it follows the opposite path... Of course if people are going to be allowed out in a longer time, it might mean they won't have any money at all, so even if they are allowed out, they won't be able to buy anything, so it's nowhere near a straightforward model as this, but you understand the concept and the directions thing take !

You ever notice how Americans call a sport they play with their hands, FOOTball lmao

i know right , it bothers me to no end and then they make everyone call football as soccer

@@abhineetsingh12 Nah that was the Brits.
@chaosXP3RT4 жыл бұрын
You know why that is, right?
@catkin5674 жыл бұрын
@nicholassviaje eh? In Britain it's called football same as most other countries in the world.
@catkin5674 жыл бұрын
@@tekeyia9279 Football was called soccer only as a nickname as in association football. It never really caught on and in fact was widely known as football and that was what stuck. But I don't know where we discussed the imperial system in this conversation or where it comes in to the discussion!!

I laughed SO hard. Being a South African who travels to US on holiday I feel this pain on every level. I’m usually so scared of going through customs in case they send me back for answering questions wrong! 😂🤣

This was so true, and made me laugh😂😂 especially u.s. customs for foreigners, 7:56 "almost as if you have to bow to the american".....jajajajjajaja😂

To be fair, a tall person can always bow down to a microphone, but a short person cannot possibly jump up to the microphone. So I do get why they had to make the microphone very low. Remember it isn't uncommon for women to be 4.5 feet tall.
