I had faith that Gil could break the skid against the Orioles. I was nervous since Burnes was pitching, but I told myself, "Gil is super talented and if anyone can snap the losing streak, it's him." Lo and behold, he did it. Holmes was absolutely filthy as well, I love it. Shout out to the lovable Oswaldo Cabrera as well-- he did it again

Judge, Volpe, Stanton, Rizzo, and Torres are a combined 5-57 in this series with zero extra base hits. That's a .088 BA and .088 SLG. Ouch. @@GSP-76 yea probably so. Nobody has been bad though, that's what's going to make it a tough decision. You hate to punish someone for being ok but not great, but that's what's going to happen. Gil has proved himself, I want to see him stay in the rotation. Biggest surprise to me has been Rodon though, I was about ready to give up on him last year and call it a really expensive loss.

@@theywouldnthavetocensormei9231 I thought Rodon would be a total flop and waste of $160m but he's definitely proven himself this season so far. I think the biggest concern with him was whether he'd be able to handle playing in NY and the pressure but he's really adjusted since the injury. Yankees having 6 quality starters is only going to help the team. They can call on a slew of quality arms.

@@GSP-76 very true, it's a good problem to have. Cortes would make a pretty handy spot starter/long reliever, that could be huge in the playoff run. Plus it's nearly impossible that nobody in the rotation will need to miss a few starts, most teams have to spot start an opener in those situations, Yankees could have a legit rotation guy to fill in as needed.

Low scoring series between 2 elite teams, it's been fun to watch. Let's hope for the split and stay on top of the division. I've tried not to complain, because we're winning, but this is not the best we can be, the offense has been inconsistent, we're still missing our ace. I think this is a 100 win team, they just need to start firing from all cylinders.

Outside Soto and Cabrera the offense really struggles. This should be the last year of Stanton and gleybar they provide nothing defensively and it would help to have more consistent hitters in their place. They definitely need verdugo back

I am confused about how the Yankees this season can go from winning multiple games by 10 or more runs. To losing back to back games while going scoreless. The month of April, I feel had more shutouts then I would say the whole last year season. There are too many hitters to be going scoreless like that.
