I took a quick walk in the Zhongli District Night Market when I visited Taoyuan for the first time when I discovered a vendor with a long queue selling delicious sandwiches. I'm glad I gave it a try!

Nice! Looks yummy! Great comfort food. Fried bread and sausage. Pickled veg must be a nice counter balance to the richness of the fried dough and sausage. And wow $1.30 is so inexpensive!!!

If you're a "foodie", Taiwan is a definite must destination. The variety of food from street food to three Michelin star restaurants is amazing. Only had one "miss" during the three weeks that I was there. Try the Michelin Bib Gourmand listed eateries for low-cost quality food. If you haven't been to Taroko Gorge near Hualien, might be worth a couple of days if you have the time. The scenery and leisurely hikes are worth the trip.
