Most bad intentions come from being raised in a neglected, hostile and ineffective environment. Unfortunately some people give to the world 🌎 what they feel they receive. It's highly unlikely that recreation centers will make a difference. There has to be an each one teach one ongoing approach. There are not enough engaged black men to effect this successful change. Very rarely will people acknowledge that this country's legacy of slavery has contributed significantly to this behavior. All of the racism from institutions (school system, housing, health care, infrastructure, unjust criminal justice system,access to services, food deserts, employment, quality of life and overall treatment of the black male. Add to this being raised in trauma and drama in your home or homelessness, abandonment and foster care. It takes an emotionally intelligent and strong willed individual to perservere despite the challenges. What the America is experiencing and will continue to experience is an increasing number of people who are not and were not able to perservere. Please 🙏 don't @me with your and/or others successful experience. This is a harsh reality, that some will never understand and some will never overcome. Addressing the mental health struggles and it's root causes, studying history and one on one guidance/mentoring by properly vetted and engaging black men is a very healthy start.
