Born and raised in Ft Worth, these are the bars, restaurants and western stores I’ve gone to since I was a kid. I didn’t think anything of the area- it’s just where we went- the norm. Seeing Ft Worth in these videos (and in tv shows) the Stockyards aka Northside aka Cowtown aka Hell’s half acre look awesome. Definitely something to be proud of. Loved your Texas video. NEVER pass up the chance to dance no matter what anyone thinks. I’m 78and I can tell you life to short not to live every moment with joy. I’m one those people that are genetic unable to keep a beat or dance well ( yes there is such a thing) but I have loved music all my life. My father was musicale. He grew up down in a holler in WV and could play 3 instruments by ear, Sing, and dance. At least one evening on a weekend when growing up they all gather and play music and dance. I lived in Texas a year and know the Texans are very friendly and they would have loved you trying to line dance. I’d get out there at the back and watch and try to keep up. And when I turned the wrong way I’d laugh and they’d all just laugh and we all had a great time. And with your family being from outside the USA they especially would have embraced you. They love their Line dancing and want nothing more that teaching or seeing others try and enjoying it. Remember the song: “I HOPE YOU DANCE by Lee Ann Womack”. 78 come to fast not to dance every time you get the chance.

I'm from Dallas, went to school in Waco, ended up in Houston after a bit and finally settled down in San Antonio. I just wanted to say that I hope your family felt welcome, and were treated with the warmth, friendliness and respect deserving of all who have made a trip to visit us. In short, that y'all were treated like family, cause in so many ways y'all are family. I mean, it's no coincidence that “Texas” or “Tejas” was derived from a Native American tribe’s word meaning friends or allies. The fact that you would choose us as y'all's destination after making such a long, and I imagine at times, arduous trip from half-way around the world is both humbling and an honor. Despite having never personally been to New Zealand myself, I can say with confidence that y'all's country is exceedingly beautiful with a citizenry that, from my understanding, shares the same sense of hospitality as our own. This along with a truly unique culture and heritage unlike any in the world. Y'all are our brothers and sisters from across the pond who, if we can't get you to stay here permanently, can at least extend our thanks to your family for all y'all do and offer an open invitation to come see us again whenever you can, as frequently as you can. Ya'll take care.

As the Texas Tourism Board says, "Texas is a whole other Country!". There is no place in the world like Texas, and we Texans are very proud of that. I am glad y'all made it here to experience the rich culture that is Texas. We already know that we are the only 10s across the board when you tried Terry Black's BBQ! I have a feeling that Tex-Mex will be up there with the BBQ. If not 10s across the board it should at least be close. San Antonio has some of the best Tex-Mex around.

I grew up close to the area. Fun fact Billy Bobs was a department store in the 60's and maybe the 50's too. During ww2 they built miltary aircraft in the building, thats how big it is!

Came across your channel by chance! Immediately subbed. As a native Texan I'm glad you liked your experience. To appreciate what Texas and most states in America represent is the working farms and ranches. If you get the chance to come back, avoid the "tourists traps". Really experience the diverse culture and all it has to offer. 🤠 You are a beautiful family! Howdy from the Lone Star State!

You all are welcome wherever you go here in the states!! I’m from Indiana; we don’t have many tourist spots, except maybe the Indy 500 speedway. Most of our attractions are of mainly local interest. Amish areas, local museums and tourist stuff.

Hoping everyone is writing to your state & federal official so YNZF can video inside the national parks without paying those filming fees they charge. Their trip to the US has been great so far & nation parks will be a big part of their next one. Contact the National Park Service regional offices may help as well. If you work for the NPS contact them to see what can be done about these fees.

I grew up with the Hyer family that is the inventor of the cowboy boot and made boots for all the famous movie cowboys. In their shop they had "lasts" (wooden models) of the stars' feet. They had John Wayne, Tom Mix, lots of others. But, if you wanted to see some incredibly fancy cowboy boots, that family had them.
