NZ offense mostly came from the outside. Maybe that is their style of play but when the shots are not falling in from the outside, that is how GIlas came back and got the lead.

that game was a battle of plays. nz played outside shooting tremendously while gilas dominated the painted area. in this game, gilas won because of the unstapable bigman under the paint.

Respect for NZ. They are in transition with lots of new young players on the team but still managed to play well right away and keep the game close to the last minute. This against a Philippines team that is about 4 years into their transition. Example, Ramos, Tamayo, and Sotto were in the seniors team in 2021 under coach Tab then. Then you have veteran holdovers like Thompson, Newsome, Aguilar, Fajardo and Perez..

It was actually a great game for NZ.. kung napasok lang nila lahat ng FT. Panalo sana sila ng by 1 pt. Pero big difference talaga yung offensive rebounds. Double ng sa NZ yung sa gilas. Malaking factor ay si kai, at yung triangle offense.

New Zealand played well. It's just that the breaks of the game favored the Gilas team coming into the end game, and their guns which comes ablazing in the early goings misfired down the stretch.

Fahardo was nit fielded in the last minutes of the game,as he was slow to switch and allowed efficient shooter webster to shoot freely. Same thing Brazil did to Gilas last time. One weakness Gilas have to solve as Cracken is very important to the team. Just a penny.

It was still anybody's ballgame in the dying seconds of the game. Gilas has dominated the rebounding department. Thats the story of the game. Officiating-wise, it was a fair game. Both teams are great. Unfirtunately, somebody has to win.
