As a Kiwi from Gisborne with a family Bach (vacation home) in the Rotorua lakes area, this part of the world is stunning. I have travelled the world reasonably extensively and have always found these parts of my homeland second to none. Mystical Maori culture and the beauty still takes my breath away.

Its pronounced Tah-ra-weh-ra ur rolling ur tounge at the ra parts. I live here in kawerau. Tarawera is so beautiful. Our waters are beautiful and I'm glad we have no crocs or any scary things in our water
