Yes, Canada geese are wonderful. Saw one take on a dog the other week. The dog got too close to family and it spread its wings and charged the dog. The dog got such a surprise that it hightailed it out of there. "Go the goose" I yelled out in the hearing of the dog owners. Yes, I love going down to Carmichael reserve and watching the geese. I find them wary but not unfriendly. Haven't managed to hand feed them yet but getting close. It was very interesting when the goslings were small. I just walked very slowly to within about 5 m and then sat down on the grass. The parents would watch me very closely to start with and then when they saw I was no threat they virtually ignored me even when the goslings came within about 3 m.
