We loved Pancake Rocks,!....just wish we had more time to explore that area. At 8:40 & 8:50 we sarcastically nick named it Gods Toilet Bowl, because of the shape and swooshing ....swirling water. Awesome video.

loved the video , picked up some useful stop off tips, following almost the same route in March 2018 , driving Queenstown ,overnight Doubtful sound , Te Anau, Wanaka , Haast pass,Franz Joseph , Hokitika , Punakaiki (pancake rocks) ,but taking the trans alpine train from Greymouth to Christchurch before heading to north island , its Made me more hopeful the 28hrs 40 mins flight time from uk to Queenstown is going to be worth it ! come rain or shine !

Could you explain the "Gimble" I am basically a newbie when it comes to the cameras and stabilization devices. Family gave me a new go pro to film parts of my next trip to show them back home. I would appreciate your advice as you actually USE this equipment. I don't want to make a video that is hard to watch. Thanks in advance. Love the videos. You two are fun to watch. Great adventures.

You two are great for insomnia. One thing I would wish you would do and maybe I just missed it but could you date stamp your episodes. Your publish date and your actual visit date may or may not coincide. Is there ever a time of year you can avoid the sand flys?

Chris 1972 good question... we were here in March- end of summer. I️ hear they are worse in Jan/Feb! ... Maybe in the height of winter you can avoid them, but you can’t do much camping! 🤣 Any locals have any insight?

Hi Rizal! Good callout on putting the place name in the video....we've got to get better at that. I know the place with the whitestones is a certain waterfall. I'll have to bug finny about where we stopped when she gets back from a business trip. I'm terrible at remembering names or locations since I do the driving- she's always the one figuring out where to go while she stares at maps!
