I like the product manager a lot. Doesn't seem like a lot of ego but he's clearly worked very hard on every detail and come up with an offering that will hit a sweet spot on the market. I'd like to see a version with a full kickr 6 but credit to them for this very neat solution

Zwift is working on compatibility across a range of trainers but pretty sure the KICKR will be top of the list

This seems to make the most sense for people who want a very simple turnkey solution, don't have a trainer already, don't have a bike or feel like using their existing bike(s) on a trainer, and are willing to pay a premium for it. Otherwise, get the same exact trainer for $500, Play controllers for $100, and either use your existing bike(s) or buy a cheap used bike and use it exclusively for this, and save $500 or more. AND you'll be able to use the setup on more than just Zwift, but it'll likely have multiple gears.

I think it looks really cool solution for a lot of people. They’ve managed to make the thing adaptable while retaining the looks. The only think I’m not sure about is the price, I can’t see how it all adds up to more than £1k considering most parts are rather basic

The zwift smart trainer has been discontinued - following the law suit the kickr core is now offered with the zwift cog instead

Only really makes economic sense if you have 2 or more different sized people sharing the same trainer. Otherwise, just buy a used bike in your size and leave it on the trainer.

Really doesn't even make sense then. Same saddle? Same crank length? Same bar width? If all these align then, yeah, two same sized people can share the same trainer. If not I don't see the advantage here. And I'm an avid Zwiftie. Wish they'd have just made an all in one bike (with the wahoo climb front end) that was super easy to adjust. Two easily removable seat posts with your preferred saddle and handlebars along the lines of Canyon's width-adjustable bars. Serious training should be as realistic as possible when it comes to one's everyday bike fit.

Rediculous price and doesnt even have a rocker feature. One of the keys to making a trainer comfortable and more realistic, is to have a rocker board or a mechanism to enable side to side motion.

I've just received my Zwift ride today. This video says 10 minutes from box to ride.....rubbish. Unboxing carefully probably takes 20+ minutes minimum. The instructions are APPALLING, and to make matters worse, the many short videos, supposedly to help, are nearly as bad. It took me nearly 2 hours to get to the riding stage. I had to make an experienced guess on a number of occasions as to what to do. Zwift, please, please get someone who knows how to write instructions/manuals to re-write everything. But after that rant, I'm happy with the product ....... so far 🫣
