I almost bought the 1500 unit but for a few hundred more bought the Raching c330. If you talk to a rep you can get it cheaper than on Amazon.

The reason why it's loud because they use cheap fans and charging $1000. This unit do not have refrigeration system like your typical refrigerator that use compressor and freon. It use thermal electric technology. I highly recommend you to watch review of my humidor by Audew, in the end of the video I'm showing how it works and taking it apart. I also have a short video of how I replaced the fans and made my unit so much quieter!!!.

Thanks for posting this, Glenn - just received the 840 for my birthday, and will be setting it up later this week (letting it air out a bit first), and your video was really helpful. Let us know if you figure out what the other pieces are in the parts bag, lol - I’m confused, too. And congrats on the baby!

Awesome review, anyvway a lock ( of any kind) can be added to the door? Like a 4 digit PIN type where the bolt slides back & forth ect.

I put the beads in the water reservoir and added the propylon glycol to them. No excess water usage and no sweating at times.
@21_redeye11 ай бұрын
Where do the beads go and how many? Also do you use the glycol instead of water he used?

I would use that reservoir for seasoning then just load her up with boveda packs. Hate dealing with refilling.

Good review! I just got the 1500. One question. How do you remove the shelves? Directions say lift up on track left side and down on right side. I don't see any tabs on the rail slide.
@GlennBrianReviews11 ай бұрын
theres tabs underneath, i only removed the bottom one though but i assume they are all the same

Thanks for the great review! Is there a humidification system or is it just the water in the dish evaporating? And how many average size boxes could you fit in it?
@GlennBrianReviews11 ай бұрын
theres a system, i only have like 300 cigars in it at the moment and its got wayyy more room lol

Use the /Cheap Humidors/ cigar humidor beads and buy the propylene glycol by the gallon. I did this and never had a problem after this. I used distilled water at first and had a problem.
@GlennBrianReviews11 ай бұрын
what was the problem with distilled water you had?

Thanks for sharing Glen. What is your take on using 1) a cigar oasis… do you think it’s more accurate. 2) Buying a cheaper wine cooler that hits 65-70 degrees and using a cigar oasis. Just wanted to make use of my $200 product and save. But that new air is definitely beautiful.

you could definitely build one your self but its a lot of work, if youre up for the challenge it could be fun!

I’ve had one for a year now and I love it but you do have to add water a couple times a week even if it’s loaded with cigars. I think the compressor type units produce dryer air

Sucks is an understatement… I’ve owned (3) separate NewAir 250s and every time they’ve been ass. Their ice machines are just as bad, when you message customer support they interrogate you and offer u 25% off another unit lmao… why would I want to buy another unit when the other 3 have blown ass! Don’t take the risk, DONT BUY NEWAIR!

I have the same unit as you do. Have the same issue with the humidity. I seasoned it and had it running for 10 days before I added my boxes and added 5 Boveda 69(320 gram) and still have diff. Reading. Unit is at 69 humidity, but shelves reads. Top 61, second 65, third 60. Have you done any thing different or do you have same issue still? Thanks for posting video..
@GlennBrianReviews Жыл бұрын
Yea after a few weeks it evened out a bit but each level will be a little off, if you keep that in mind knowing this its not that big of an issue
@LenTexDIY6 ай бұрын
A compressor humidor isn't ideal. In addition, for the price, I think I'll pass and go with a less expensive one that's thermoelectric.

You didnt season your unit well enough and you dont have enough cigars in it. You want to be above 50% capacity. Things will be wild and unpredictable if you dont do those things.
@GlennBrianReviews Жыл бұрын

@jonathannicholson11398 ай бұрын
@kaizen20205that’s not true at all. When using boveda you buy as much as your humidors capacity. Not what you have in there. Man I’d have to smoke your cigars
@MissDaisyTheRacoon Жыл бұрын
Have to season your humidor.
