That police officer was using his phone when in charge of a vehicle. You clearly have him on video turning the key which was still in the ignition while he was recording. That is 6 points and £200 fine.

Surprised you didn't ask for a Sergeant, then an Inspector & go right up the seniority line after every denial, so that top management are informed, unusually, as I doubt they'd be happy at this behaviour. It would also be nice to see senior management getting pulled into this, especially if they got a complaint against them. Doesn't go down well with the promotion-seekers. Complaints don't look good on the internal CV. Then again, I suppose they're still cops, so ..... Hit them hard!

The term Police Station is defined by the Home Office and describes it as a police building which has a counter open to the public for at least part of the day. The public are allowed access to any police property. I admire your confrontation with these officials to highlight the way we are made to believe they have more powers and rights over us than they really do. We naturally assume these officials have authority because the uniform or warrant is shown. It is not the right of filming being done that is concerning, every government building has cameras everywhere, filming our cars, faces, our kids that come innocently onto the property. It is our rights in general that are being violated. You absolutely bring out the bullying, intimidation, lies and other tactics these officials will use to confuse us and make us give in. The thing I notice all the time is the overwhelming presence of officers, it is never a one to one. Same old story my gang is bigger than your gang, I win. In your case they lose. Thanks for your effort to bring these injustices out.

What you did is wanted his details to make a SA request but they are just telling you to do it through the website. What you needed to do is make a complaint against the officer that refused the details. You make a SA request online. The complaint of him refusing the details and the SA request is two different things.

They don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. You were asking for information about yourself, so that would be a Subject Access Request (SAR), not a Freedom of Information (FOI) request which is for general information. The PCSO confused the matter by bringing up FOI when you were clearly asking to make a SAR. A SAR can me made in wiring OR VERBALLY, so they should’ve dealt with it there and then. Most organisations have a particular department that deals with SAR & FOI requests, but you can make your request to any member of staff at any department. How they handle it internally is their issue, not yours - the clock starts ticking once you’ve made the request, not once they’ve transferred it internally (they have 1 month to reply for SAR and 20 working days for FOI). Just for info, a FOI request has to be made in writing, not verbally, though if you have a disability and can’t put it in writing, they should assist you. You don’t even have to mention that it’s a FOI request. It can be in any format, even a post via social media is technically a FOI request if you’re asking for information. A full name and email address is all they need from you, which is why it’s best to avoid using any forms they’ve invented, as they often ask for loads of irrelevant personal details that you don’t need to provide (although for SAR you DO usually need to provide your real name with proof of ID so they can verify that you are who you say you are, before releasing personal information). There’s a massive problem with employees of public bodies not understanding their basic obligations regarding SAR and FOI requests. There’s so much legislation that citizens are expected to know and comply with, yet government bodies act as though they’re above the law, presumably because they have no fear of any consequences for the failings.

I think this demonstrates perfectly the lack of knowledge of the law and basic rights, in the certain knowledge they don’t need to because they will never be held accountable. Rude, contemptuous ignorant and uncaring contempt for the public.

Not identifying themselves. Not knowing GDPR. Refusing service. Being rude. Denying freedom of information request done in person. You Brits certainly get value for your taxes.

22:45 I would say it's more articles 6 & 8 rather than 10. 6 because you are recording evidence to ensure a fair trial if it occurred. 8 because it's for your private affairs and for your own records.

Wayne Couzins syndrome, refuse to identify, carry on breaking the rules, it becomes more and more serious and ends in the worst possible crime, perpetrated by a rogue copper.

So a Grown Man that doesn't work and begs for money wants the PCs number who was recording whilst off duty, if the Grown Man that uses nail polish found a job then he wouldnt have time to waste the hard working British Tax payer time constantly to get a reaction to make £8 for every 10,000 views ?????

Absolute bunch of liars. You can definitely make a SAR directly through them. But it's Nottingham police so I'm not the least bit surprised.

Yes SAR can be made in writing or verbally, FOI must made in writing only, but either way the request can be made to any employee in any department. How they deal with it internally is irrelevant.
