Yep you made some rookie mistakes with packing choices. Luckily the traffic is frequent these days on the French Line track. Did you not pre plot the track on your GPS to avoid getting lost? Riding in pairs makes a lot of sense when you crash.

Yes I did plot a gps route but I didn't have it on at that particular time as I thought I was on the right track. Put it down as a seniors moment........

@@JB-zg9hb Ahh yes I am familiar with those seniors moments! I was riding solo in the pine forests near Mt Gambier when I hit a patch of elephant snot green slime on a limestone road. I had to unpack and repack my luggage twice in 50 m. I was gasping for air!

The years just flew by as the oldies said to me when I was young but didn't believe them. It's a great but hard trip - feels good when looking back on it.
