You are so fortunate with the number of fillies your mares produce! The horse colts are sweet, too, but I always wanted fillies so that I knew we could keep them. What a good mare Reintje is! The only thing that isn't perfect is that one side of her udder doesn't work, but it appears that she makes a ton of milk with the other side! With the supplementation that you do, she can show all her great broodmare characteristics without having to worry about her babies having enough milk. I hope they (and Yfke) are well on their way to recovery now!

What a moment! I'm just amazed and delighted. And not only was the foal born inside an hour, but Reinje had cleaned her completely! And then the baby was standing. Yvonne's own amazement and joy were as wonderful as the surprise birth.
