Brilliant video and the music is so fitting. I think on this day I experienced real fear for the first time in my life.

Well put together:) TV programme last night reminded me of that day - I was told my Dad had terminal cancer. 3.45pm left Freeman Hospital in state of shock, didn't get bus straight home, couldn't face seeing anyone I knew. On bus to Newcastle went into darkness coming out of Cradlewell Bypass and into the storm. Met my husband from work, no buses so went for meal & drink. Waited 1hour+, still no buses. Started walking 9.45pm. Bus came as we got to Shields Rd. Home to Killingworth after midnight.

My geography teacher was on the news kayaking around his garden! It's weird because he tells us about how he goes kayaking at the weekend! But it was really bad where I live. Our school was off for a few days and we can't do PE until after summer :)

Wow, some dramatic photo's here - the bus ones around 1.10 are crazy. The floods and hosepipe ban at the sametime ispired me to do a silly song. You can hear it if you click on muserings below (no advertising involved).

I was at Blaydon working, i was the only person on the street who's car was not waterlogged, with it being a VW Touareg, i still had to put pallets down to get in the back door lol dead lakes reappeared in some places for months

Yes, my wife called me upset to say she was stuck in newcastle, so I drove north from Chester le street. I saw the blockage on the a1 southbound that was causing the holdup and followed one continuious queue of cars from that flood right into gateshead. I said, we have to drive north to get out of here and got lost several times before finding the right road that went south to Consett, then headed through Lanchester (until we found the floods there), Stanley, then to chester, it was a very ...

I remember that day, it was bonkers, to get from newcastle to chester le street, I had to drive through Hexam, took us 4 hours!! :o(

It is fitting and I have the right to tell you that as I was stranded in these floods in a tiny car it took my cousin over 4 hours to drive home when in normal circumstances it would have took us 15 minutes so stop having a go

Ta:) The negative/removed comment about the music is way out of order. People should get things in perspective. I'd rather have had my house flooded that night than lost my Dad 3 months later.
