10:33 I remember Mattara 1971 for the concert in Civic Park put on by Station 2HD-Newcastle. I was 16 years old then. I went to the concert with a friend, Phil. We got to meet and talk to *Ted Mulry* and I also talked with one of the members of Sherbet, who were also on the bill that Saturday night in September. I remember some girl asking Ted Mulry if he was going to appear on Young Talent Time, which was fairly new to the Sunday programme line-up on Station NBN-Newcastle at that time. It started at about 4.55pm and finished about 5.55 with Jayes Travel Time shoehorned into the slot between YTT and the Sunday Night News Bulletin.

With the punts, the queue on Stockton's side would sometimes stretch along Fullerton Street almost to the Corroba Oval football ground(that's *real* football, by the way, "the round-ball game"). the cars would queue even across the intersections of the east-west-running streets, such as Monmouth, Clyde, Pembroke, Cardigan etc. Come 1st November, 1971 and the official opening of the Stockton Bridge and that queue would be a thing of the past, and the opening spelled the end for the old punts, which were cast-offs from when the Sydney Harbour Bridge opened in 1932 anyway.

29:14 Rail Motor Set 669/769, vintage, about 1966 to 1968 thereabouts. Probably(hopefully) in the Thirlmere museum collection. Dread the thought of the set ending up in the railway *graveyard* that is the Dorrigo "Museum(?)".

36:37 The Police Station was used as the "Patent Office" in the Yahoo Serious movie, *Young Einstein* while Fort Scratchley(seen earlier) was used as the Lunatic Asylum in the same movie.

13:26 The old punts. There was the *Kooorangabba, Koondooloo* and the *Lurgerena,* I'm guessing at the spelling as it's over 50 years since they last crossed the harbour. I lived at Stockton at the time, coming home from high school(Newcastle Junior Boys High) in the years 1968 to 1970, it cost just 2cents as a foot passenger on the punts, as against 10cents on the Walters-owned passenger ferries.
