The same company that are doing the goods yard development in Stoke are doing York place. Plans are on capital & centric website. They do a lot of development on old buildings.

Great content as always mate. I used to work the doors in 'Castle and always prefered the town to Hanley. Turkish barber? ...don't you mean a laundrette? I'd still say it's cleaner and safer than Hanley though.Heartbreaking to se The ROEBUCK Center so empty. Keep em' coming mate.

it was so busy on market day in the 70s and 80 but the councils like everywhere else have killed the town centres with parking fees we never paid years ago thats why its dead nobody about i was born in stoke in 54 it will never be the same sad

You can't have filmed on a proper market day Mon, Friday, Saturday, or the Artisan market every 3rd Sunday...way busier than this video depicts...Roebuck centre is terrible though !!

Already commented and said it was Wednesday when I filmed this. My experience of market day though is it’s still not much busier. Artisan market yes definitely more busy but that’s 1 day a month not enough for shops to rely on.

9:23 strangely enough some years back i think the Sentinel compared Stoke-on-Trent as the UK equivalent to Detroit (post industrial city). They will most likely knock down the old carpark or turn it into something else. Pleased the Queens Gardens are still there, i think the Palms in the gardens will be the closest i will ever get to Spain. Have to say though even though Newcastle-under-Lyme has declined a bit its still looking better than Dump-on-Trent.

Actually watching this in Spoons - drinking my £1.99 Congleton beer and using Timbo's wifi. Here in Preston I only go to trusted outlets whom I know do decent beer and know what they're doing. And Spoons because it's cheap. The Black Horse here is in the top 4 pubs in yhe country according to CAMRA. It's also the Stokie embassy of Lancs.
