Totally disillusioned with the “process.” We don’t look like a team who can realistically compete for a champions league place. You are over the moon about outplaying an abysmal Everton side. 3 poor transfer windows has resulted in a side that rarely looks convincing. We lack a good right sided forward, a number 10, a number six, a fast central defender. Make the most of outplaying Everton because once they have a cash injection they are likely to overtake us the same way that Villa have.

Another match that proved our transfer business has been mismanaged, no creative RW, no reliable 2nd striker. We've had one goal from open play in the last 4 matches. Remember though there was only Marc Guehi who could improve us over the summer 😂. We had one more shot on target then Everton and none after the penalty.

I've never seen a more one sided game where we didn't win,we had complete control but so obvious lacking the two strikers or at least one of them on the pitch and it would be a win.Disappointing for that reason and the lack of a quality back up striker backfired on us today but otherwise a great performance.

I thought we played some great football throughout the game, some of the intricate passing was brilliant and thought everyone played well. We were just a bit unlucky in the final 3rd and on another day we’d score 3/4 🙌🏻. I think it’s the best we’ve played away from home in a long time 👍🏻

Some good signs from Bruno and Tonali taking it turns to take the ball off the defense rather than only Bruno which is so easy for the opposition, they both ran out of steam but some good signs . Our passing was terrible in the final third

Perhaps our problem has partly been adopting a Summer transfer 'strategy' of bringing in players who are not immediately "Premier League ready". We've known for two of those transfer windows the risks of relying on only two injury-prone proven strikers and yesterday the Gaehi fixation cost two points. It won't be the last time, I suspect.

My major concern is our lack of threat from open play. In my opinion we lack an out and out striker (I've written off Wilson as he's never available) Isak while a top class forward, drops too deep and runs too wide too often, we need someone who occupys the opposition centre halves.

@GeordieJournos I don't believe that. Bruno, Trippier, Gordon Barnes and even Schar can all spot a decent pass but if no one is available to them then what are they to do. Our build up play and movement off the ball, coupled with our lack of someone to lead the line and stretch or occupy opposition defenders is allowing teams to regroup against us and more easily defend. Unless a team attacks us relentlessly and plays a high line (like spurs) we struggle.

Yes thought he was excellent but for a couple of errors and frequently covered up when the midfield gave the ball away. Also covers Burns lack of pace well. Trippier was definitely the weaker fullback for me today.

It's a dull watch. 8 goals scored in 7 games. 4 of those teams are in the bottom half. We didn't create chances for Isaak when he was fit. The problem is bigger than "we don't have a striker on the pitch" Harvey Barnes is the best natural finisher we have at the club. He's the last person to score a goal in open play, 3 and a half games ago.

We got CL by playing Joelinton LW and Joe Willock LM - how this manager can’t see it is beyond me. He’s trying too hard to cram his best players into one team which is what Southgate does. Barnes should be nothing but an impact sub.

A decent away performance. Looked more solid but we are so slow and ponderous on the build up. This team is not an exciting watch. More man city than arsenal. Trying to control the game and overplaying like city but they have better players to do that job

Playing a very poor Everton team with a midfielder at 1 fullback old man at the other fulback and 2 old men at centre backs we could not score and did not look like scoring we looked good where Everton let us look good but were absolutely awful in the final third and apart from the penalty Pickford did not have a notable save to make. So how that is a good performance I really don’t know.. We make less chances than any team except relegation fodder no matter who plays centre forward and that is a real problem. You have to make chances and score goals all the rest is just fluff

Easy to say now but the full backs were the weak areas I can’t believe we didn’t hit them there with Gordon and Barnes on the wings I really would have tried osula up front . At worst get Gordon over on Ashley young , Murphy’s with all the pace in the world had such little effect can only be used when we are already winning and looking to hit on the break

Anthony Gordon's finishing is really not on par with a great forward. He sure runs and works and his value comes from that, but I always feel that he is short in the final third...his end product is a bit crap, obviously I'm not talking about the penalty in this particular game.

Best performance in the title? What the hell??? 3 games without a goal from open play. Same carelessness with the ball, absolutely shambolic performances from everyone in the final 3rd, subs that make no sense, striker on the bench but none on the pitch. It's clear the ambitions of the management are no longer European competition. Playing badly is now expected, apart from city i can't remember the last time the team looked polished and played well, it was a long time ago now. The downward trajectory is clear to see now. I was disappointed that howe never got real funds to improve the squad in January or the summer, but now i would rather a different manager gets to spend that money. Howe has spent over half a billion but we are playing worse now than at any point in his time here. The last thing to happen to Bournemouth with howe before he was let go was the goals dried up. Too many players want too many touches before passing in and around the final 3rd, everyone wants to score in the top corner which results in every shot going over the bar. We've gone from the most exciting team to watch to the most boring team to watch. Howe is nearing the end.

So I like to watch football when I can, I’m a Geordie. I wouldn’t class myself as a fan. I watched the match in the club and I must have watched a different match to you guys. Gordon who I think is one of, if not the best player for Newcastle never plays well at Goodison and was terrible. He wasn’t the only one and to be fair to him, I think there is too much pressure on the lad. Murphy, how many times did he give the ball away? I wonder what the wage bill of the players for yesterday’s game was and then tell me they played well. I mean Tonali why is he still at Newcastle after bringing the club into disrepute? I’ll bet he still picked his wages up during his suspension. He didn’t play well. Overall for me it was a terrible game. Just my opinion
