WE’VE GOT OSULA!!!!! Wtf is the point of getting him and then pretending we don’t have a striker in the squad?
@chrisjames21092 күн бұрын
Hall is doing well at left back now, I think most will agree. He was kept back, worked at on the training ground, and look how he's improved. Obviously Eddie and the coaching staff feel the same about Osula.

Criminal to miss a pen in that situation, should have been one of Schar, Bruno or Tonali with the crowd pressure on Gordon. Will say though that Pickford made some decent saves including the penalty, even with those little arms!
@RaseYourProbs3 күн бұрын
Missing the pen is a big missed chances, but we can't go on about it when we had plenty of other chances to get a goal. Yes pickford did well, but I think Gordon's 1v1 miss closer to the end was worse than the pen miss. We had so many decent half chances, we weren't clinical enough. I think EH needs to take some responsibility for persisting in keeping AG up top instead of giving osula a chance

Isak scored only once in the opening 6 games so what are we missing? He wasn't exactly banging them in, was he?

He was playing through an injury, wasn't able to play to his best ability. We're missing the kinda form that saw him grab 24 PL goals last season

When was the last time we enjoyed watching us play, city was decent because of the effort they put in which should be a given. I don't know, already dropped points to Fulham, Everton and Bournemouth... Some good today but we never look like scoring. Watching us just isn't fun anymore

Everton play antifootball it's like going back 40 years , it's all just long ball, almost feel sorry for their fans having to watch that week after week. Think had Gordon put the pen away then we would have prob got another couple as they would have had to come out a bit
@jorgeandrade7833 күн бұрын
Yes its a bit anti football but we also got unlucky with that DCL pen call and Gana should have slotted that open goal as well. Also I don’t know if Newcastle would have scored more because Ill be honest Newcastle didn’t look anything that special yesterday or that good to be honest they had more chances but other than that clearance from the corner Ndiaye did I wasn’t really hand in mouth gasping for fear Newcastle were gonna score. Most of Newcastle’s chances were standard and nothing spectacular so I think it was a good point overall for us and compared to your other performances actually feel Newcastle were quite poor and who knows what would have happened if Gordon had scored we should have had the pen as well so if the ref had given the pen and if gana had slotted that in could have been a different game too could have been 1-1 had things gone our waybas well who knows I certainly don’t think both teams looked amazing to be honest but as an everton fan I’ll take a gritty hard earned point against a very good side Anyways best of luck for rest of season

Yeah it really is horrible football to watch. Was defiantly the type of game where if that Bruno goal off the line goes in, we win 2 to 3 nil in my opinion
@jamiefender69093 күн бұрын
Gordon should have relinquished the pen (hindsight etc I know) but we had enough chances to win easily tonight. It’s not only on the strikers to score goals. 10 corners to 0 And never threatened from 9 of them. Last season we’d have lost games like this. Move on and hopefully Wilson and Isak are fit again

3 games since we scored from open play. This is what happened near the end of eddies time at Bournemouth, 4-3-3 at all costs, absolutely shocking substitutions, carelessness in midfield with the ball and some how every single team we play we make look better than they are. It couldn't be more clear that the message had gone stale, the tactics are not working, the players are not up for it, and too many are comfortable playing badly. Eddie can not dine out on past achievements much longer, we are a team that plays badly a lot more often than plays good. We've fallen behind a lot of teams that are pushing for Europe. Excluding the city game, when was the last time we looked polished and played well? I don't know where our next goal is coming from. Something has to give, do we continue regressing and give eddie money to waste and write this season off? Or do we do what everyone knows needs to be done in order for the club to progress and become consistent enough to challenge for European football. When a team plays badly consistently they are a bad team, forget what went before, focus on the present, we are playing awful football again but are half a billion in with this team.
