Echoing what everyone else is saying here: Don't sell Minteh. If these major clubs are willing to pay that price for a youth player, it means he has talent. Promote him to the first team. Murphy can do a job while Minteh get's the experience. They promoted MIley up to the first team because of the talent and need as we were down to bare bones for the midfield. Why wont they do that for Minteh? Let the lad get in the squad and get that invaluable experience!

These stories surrounding NUFC having to sell players to balance the books crack me up. No one outside of Newcastle's inner circle knows anything! As for Minteh, Dortmund are no mugs, and have an eye for a gem (Haaland, Bellingham, Dembele, Sancho, etc) that turn a huge profit for them in just a few years. The chances of them paying £40 million for Minteh are slim, but if they are willing to, that's just confirmation that we should be keeping hold of him.

Have to disagree with Minteh, regardless of FFP we need to be bringing talent through and he could save us a bucketload of money. The fact that big teams are circling should tell us all we need to know and we need to keep him. If Dortmund are interested, loan him and with their track record of nurturing talent he’ll be a better player in a years time and ready to come into the first team unless wor Eddie thinks he’s ready now, in that case keep him

Staggered payments have nothing to do with FFP. It only impacts cashflow.

Sell Minteh for £40m, if somebody will pay that, with a sell- on clause, like City with Trafford. But I think that price is wishful thinking; much like Olise was ever going to come to Newcastle. It would always be stay at Palace, they're going places, go to Chelsea, they've got the money, Europe and going places or an outside bet on ManU. He was born in London, so obviously supported them as a kid! Without Europe we faced an uphill struggle.
