Newcastle United transfer news: Magpies urged to get a deal SORTED for Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi

Most teams need 2/3 players every year who can come in an IMPROVE the first team which means over a 3 year period you’re pretty much replacing your team with the addition of a few talented youngsters coming through. That also allows the players who are being replaced to be sold for decent money as they age plus the sale of youngsters who don’t quite make the grade. That’s the game now basically. So far, Newcastle are pretty much on track for doing that but have had to do it from a standing start without the existing player assets to sell. They currently need 3 players who can be first team starters - a centre back, a right winger and a goalkeeper who is as good with their feet as their hands in my opinion. Mbuemo and Bowen can play on the wing and centre forward so would be obvious targets.

Agree. We sent out a bad signal last window by crawling back to the table. They will all look to raise the price. I say no more than a second offer, then screw it... stay at a bland London feeder club if you want.

The big problem we're gonna have is if we qualify for Europa League or Europa Conference our squad is not strong enough to cope. Between the January Transfer Window and the Summer Window we need 3 possibly 4 players brought in to improve the starting 11

Almiron won't be leaving. He was our best player in the Champions league and has been Paraguay's best play during World Cup qualifying. Howe will be sacked in due course
