Damir - False equivalencies. The catholic church is not an atom bomb, war, or Hollywood. It's a religious system that pushes an ideology. Paying into that system, supports it because it partially relies on it. You're right, they did move "away those priests who did the horrible things." They moved them right into another parish - not to a jail cell. If you continue to pay tithing into that system WITHOUT demanding that those priests be subjected to equal treatment under the law as any other child rapist, then you are apart of the problem. FFS, stop diminishing the issue to make yourself feel better and work to end the problem (if you're so good).

Because I'm so busy and I have a hard time sitting still and concentrating, I pray my rosary while I drive to work or run errands. I play the Bruce Downes Daily Rosary podcast (HIGHLY recommend - it's a very sweet husband and wife praying together) and say the prayers along with them. I keep a rosary in my glove box so that I have one with me, but of course I can't hold the beads when I'm driving, so I count on the fingers of the hand that's not driving. Since I usually think about my troubles when I drive, I've found that my morning commute is, a bit ironically, a great time for me to pray. It helps me get myself together for the day, remind myself of where my strength comes from and what I strive to be every day. ❤

Non-Catholics and lazy endoctrinated Catholics don’t understand the the purpose of sacrificing, setting aside time for praying and good moral choices. ‘Respect’ of someone’s humanity vs ‘Acceptance’ of everything they believe and do are the polarizing points for todays world. Catholics are to respect all individual’s as a child of God, as our brother, sister, neighbor’s. We are not however ever to accept their sin to the point of allowing their way to change our own way to God through His graces and virtues. UNDERSTANDING : Our actions, our choices to be RESPECTFUL or ACCEPTING… are key to our devotion, faithfulness and evangelization.

It was how they told the Bible without having access to the scriptures. That's all icons are. The Bible didn't have a complete canon for 700 years, and even then, barely anyone had access to one because it was expensive, and it took yeeeears for monks to copy them. Just as you wouldn't scratch up and ruin a Bible, you don't scratch up and ruin an icon. Icons have been doing what the Bible did before it was even written. And what about God? Are you saying He was telling people to worship idols? Did you forget that He made people make a golden snake? And statues of angels?
