In dance, it’s not all about hype. Those who said that Silent and Gee’s win was robbed are likely only focusing on the flashy hype routines. I’m not saying those Team & routines were bad..far from it. But the combination of routines, technique, foundation, freestyle, and the precise beat-kills from Nelson and Majid was absolutely fire. The judges made the right call, and they deserved the win.

I’m so happy I understand what they both were doing and they both put everything into this final. It’s all about the respect and responds towards each other. Majid and Nelson really stayed in their own style of dance and so did Gee & Silent. It’s a battle first of all and everyone has a different approach towards the battle. I do see that Majid and Nelson both approach the battle differently every time where in Gee & Silent felt the same but with different routines. But as I have said this, it’s all opinion based and all I can say is, THEY BOTH WENT FOR IT AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE ONE WINNER THAT GETS THE PRICE, BUT THEY ARE BOTH WINNERS💥

I had it as a 🙅🏼‍♂️ until that last round.. then Nelson and Majid brought a round that was just so much more alive. Yo, I gotta say, I really feel like Nelson & Majid shouldn’t have won. It’s kinda wild how Silent & Gee got robbed like that. 😤 People really need to start paying more attention to who's judging these battles. If you really look at Nelson, dude wasn’t confident in any of the routines with Majid. Meanwhile, Silent & Gee were solid as a group-they deserved that W, no question. 🏆 Gotta let the culture evolve and let these dancers shine. Nelson was the weakest link every round. Majid carried very round. Pop, pop, wave, two shakies… and couldn’t keep up with the routines and won… Majid great job. Nelson got bodied by a lady. Silent and Gee was literally telling a story through their expressions and that’s what made it powerful & inspiring. Idk what Nelson was doing. He was too stiff every round to carry that. If I pay my money to come to an event like that you better be hype and entertaining.

I mean, wouldn't it be a bad thing if most of those things dominated dance competitions? Imagine Gimmicks being the focus, Routines only in a FREESTYLE battle, tricks instead of dancing, character instead of flow. This is a weird point. Every dance has their strong point. Silent and Gee used the same 'gimmick' of constantly switching the whole way through. Because that's them. Majid uses is consistent groove and footwork, because that's him. Larry uses stage presense and Animation, because that's him. Asking these dancers to be jack of all trades and master of none, is like saying why isn't Messi a good goal keeper. They have their styles, if they changed them drastically, they would lose. Because dance is self expression, they shouldn't change them for us, because we want it to evolve in a different direction. Majid won because he was the best on the day, simple as that. He didn't win as often last year, why? Because other people were better. There isn't a problem
