When you were walking down the street ,and listening to the church bells.. then said this is truly magical.. that is exactly the word in my head. Wow.... the Inn, the gorgeous grounds and surrounding buildings, the historical decor. Pure magic. My idea of a perfect getaway . WHen night fell it was incredible. Like being in a movie. When you got up with the birds... I said, I want to have my coffee and a breakfast croissant on that beautiful little white bistro table out there. I can only imagine the peaceful tranquility. Thanks for the mini vacation... if only in my dreams.

As an exchange student, I spent 5 summers working in Martha's Vineyard. A lot of great memories from this wonderful place. From time to time, I just type Martha's Vineyard on KZbin to find any recent video so I can go back and remember the time I spent there. I live in Europe, and the last time I was there was in 2018. I hope to be able to go back one day and I wish it's sooner than later, so I can still meet some of the people I've known from the time I spent there and just go back to visit this amazing place and hopefully meet these people. Really, anytime right after Labor Day is the best time to visit Martha's Vineyard. Families summering there go home, and all the kids go back to school. It is one of my favorite places to visit. Thank you for sharing!

I spent an unforgettable summer there as a 16-year-old au pair. We were in a beautiful three story home in West Chop, across from the Lighthouse. On my days off, I walked every inch of the island. I feel so blessed to have had that experience. A magical place!

This was fantastic Linda, and you hit the weather perfectly. This last week over your birthday was perfect. You have inspired me to look into the Charlotte Inn. It is truly magical. When i was a child, I sailed over to Vineyard Haven but have not spent time as an adult on the Vineyard. Only Nantucket. My girlfriend's husband was the architect for that home you showed. He is quite famous in Wellesley and on The Vineyard. I have told you we may be related as we go back in the same towns to the early 1600's. Thank you Linda, This was beautiful. I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this trip. The Inn, everything I could see about Edgartown, the proximity to the water, it all makes my heart sing. I am a transplant, my daughter was born here in New England. She has to live elsewhere for a time, her husband is in the military. She longs for home as we both LOVE New England more than we can say. What you hav3 shown us all here is exactly what we both live about New England. I can’t wait until she comes home…..

Linda AKA as Good Queen Linda: There are no appropriate words to describe The Charlotte Inn and your suite of rooms. All I can say.....it was stunning. We have been to Martha's Vineyard, but not to Edgartown. Actually, my husband just told me we drove through it. That was over 20 years ago. It is time to go back and October would be a perfect month. I love that plaid blazer!! (Where did you get that?!) LOVED the tour - looked up the Inn immediately! When you said "It's my birthday and I always have a pumpkin with me." I thought - we are TRULY kindred spirits! When we travel in the fall, I ALWAYS buy a small pumpkin or two to display in the room wherever we stay. I now have to up my game! Love visiting Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard !!! Lucky to have visited several times for the last 20 years😊 Our first visit to Martha's Vineyard was when our daughter 12 year's old, she and l went into the Black Dog Cafe to pickup some goodies for a beachside picnic. We literally run into George Clooney as he has leaving and we where entering. Very nice man , apologize for running into us and then gave my daughter his cheesecake order!! Hadn't seen him since but it's a fun memory 😊

Visited Edgartown with my husband, mother, brother a few times many years ago. Your video was very bittersweet for me as both mother and brother have passed away. We also went in October and it was charming. Absolutely loved every minute! One morning my husband went for a walk very early. On the porch of this very old house he noticed an elderly woman dressed in 18 century clothing. He looked away for a split second and when he looked back she was gone. When he returned to the Inn he told me he had just seen a spirit. This was quite a jump for him because at that time he was a non-believer. 🎃
