I remember when I was only just getting on the internet back years ago, I saw some of their (The Reptile Channel’s) videos. They scared me so much, I was having nightmares for ages about it. Not only was I really scared, but I was deeply saddened by it, and cried for hours after the video was done. (I can’t remember exactly what videos I saw, but I think one of them was the one with the baby chicks in this video) I became deathly afraid of snakes after that, up until a school trip where there was a lovely carpet Python in an educational facility. I learnt a lot that day, and eventually went to the internet to find out a little more on what snakes can actually be, instead of these horrifying “man-eating” monsters that I had been led to believe. Now I absolutely adore snakes, and have a deep respect for them. Moral of the story; There’s always that one guy that’s gonna fuck over a whole community. Don’t listen to that guy. If you wanna see gloriously wholesome snake content to further help quell the horrid snake trauma you got from that disgusting “reptile channel”, you should check out Snake Discovery. Just wonderful experts and educators who run their own zoo and breeding center geeking out about baby snakes hatching and yeah there’s the occasional one that doesn’t make it, or one that will need to be culled because of defects severe enough to guarantee it would have suffered its whole life (they don’t show that on screen, just if that situation comes up they let you know what will need to be done to stay humane to the animals), but other than the occasional sad bit that comes with nature from time to time and the reality of birth being difficult, seeing all the freshly hatched baby noodles is always just free seratonin. Emily always lets them come out of the eggies at their own pace, and just oogles over them and points out how precious and beautiful they are every step of the way, and always sees how many of them she can pick up before they all try to slither away like living spaghettis lol!!! I’ve been binge watching every morning for the past fee days. Its so lovely.

I have fought this channel since the beginning. I changed the name of my channel from HerpersTV to The Reptile Channel before they started their channel. I tried to trademark the name but it was untrademarkable. I sent them a cease and desist order anyway, and of course it was ignored. I've contacted KZbin and the university several times, and had no response. When I did my research on them I found that the hostess is a hired actress, and this is actually a sex fetish channel whose viewers find large animals eating erotic. Because they upload from Mexico, there's not a lot we can do other than continuing to petition KZbin to do something about it. The university seems unwilling to get involved. Anyway, without getting anywhere in my fight, I changed the name of my channel to what it is now to remove myself from any confusion with this channel, and I still am continuing to fight to have this channel shut down. Thanks for making this video Kevin! It's time the entire reptile nation band together to stop this channel, and again, the only to do that now is to flood KZbin with complaints and petitions to remove the channel by exposing Jonah Vore, and citing that the channel violates KZbin's policies.

Snake Discovery is okay. She cohabits different species of turtle in small enclosures. Turtles need 10 gallons per every inch of their shell, making it really small and she defends herself saying it's fine when it's not. She also keeps a bunch of AFTs together when they're solitary and if they're for breeding they should only be kept together when it's breeding season.

It's not like someone went on a safari in Africa and happened to film a lion hunting a zebra. The lion has to work to overpower and kill and adult animal that is capable of breaking a jaw. The monitor gets newborns plopped in front of it, while the newborns have no chance of escape and are swallowed alive. 19:21 - Is it just me, or does this snake look like it's got stuck shed? I'm not a snake expert by any means, but those eyes don't look clear like snakes I've seen on other channels. It really is disturbing to think that there are people out there wanting to watch those videos. It has been demonstrated for years now that feeding thawed frozen is not only ethical (as the prey item had been humanely euthanized), it’s safer for your pet reptiles. In nature, they don’t have a choice. As a responsible pet owner, we do. The only lice items I have ever fed to any of the reptiles I’ve kept over the years are crickets, earthworms and feeder fish (stopped using feeder fish when I found out they are not nutritious). I haven’t kept any in quite some time, but would stick to this for future pets. No need cause any suffering. Thanks for shedding some light on the subject and never heard of the channel you mentioned here. Won’t be visiting it either.

Trapping a wild squirrel in a cage and letting it be eaten alive is unfathomably cruel and immoral, but when you take a cat or a dog from a shelter or a rescue and kill it, you're not only betraying the trust of an animal bred *specifically* to trust you and love you, but the trust of the people who expected you to take care of it. If they stole it [which has happened-- shitty people stealing pets from backyards to feed their snakes] then that's somebody's beloved pet they'll never see again. The circle of victims goes beyond the animal in this scenario. On top of that, you're putting the snake in serious danger. A live rat or rabbit can kill a snake, and they don't even have the claws and teeth a cat / dog has.

@@ileolai you don't know what you're affecting outside of the prey animal if you catch a wild animal that could very well have a family that relies on it. The excuse of it being "not worse" but worse because humans like those animals more, isn't really doing it for me. And it's not like they sold this guy hundreds of baby chickens to relentlessly murder for his fetish they probably expected them to at least live decent lives and be killed humanely if at all just like just as if you had a dog you were selling and if they didn't think that about the chickens and did just consider them a commodity then I think they are also bad people. I don't consider it much more immoral just because he had to sign a contract saying he wouldn't kill it for his fetish But I guess it kind of is.
