I don't know how you do it, you make it look easy and enjoyable. I desperately want to go back to a city area. Either that or I hope more people move to my area and make it a city. I could never live the way you live, not even for one month. You make it look so easy and fun despite the reality.

In 1997, we used a can of Dole pineapple rings copyrighted from 1985 (with a possible window of age after then, so at most 12 years older). This can’s juice looked, you guessed it, black. Moreover, since pineapple is acidic, it could easily eat away at the metal.

Not that it really matters much, but everyone has such a detached interpretation of inflation these days... when you mention Log Cabin syrup being way over $10 USD today, thats incorrect. Amazon sells 24oz bottles of it for $4.45. In fact, it's cheaper now than it was when that bottle you display was sold. Adjusting for inflation that $1.33 bottle of Log Cabin in 1970 would be $11.00 today. We've just been spoiled and nobody realizes how good we got it, things are cheap.
