Chili Mac wasn't bad. Most of the guys I knew preferred it, or spaghetti with meat sauce, over most of the other entrees. The actual taste of the MRE's at that time was not bad at all, in my experience. It was the more the limitation in meals. Nowadays, there are a ton of entrees to choose from.

These were the MREs from my era. Most actually did taste really good. Chili mac was probably most people's favorite. They all came with that same accessory pack with the tiny bottle of tobasco and the chiclets. Lol.

Pear juice be sloooowly creepin on the macaroni like lions stalking a gazelle, waiting for just the right time to strike, then BAM! In an instant the Macaroni is surrounded. There's no escape. Never even saw it coming. Nature can be so cruel, but still so beautiful 😭
